Erm why are there little up lighters lighting the bass caps ?

@NiksDjs The lights are for safety, it helps guests to see the location of the gear. Try it some time, you may like the look. Move the lights around to change the shadows, it can add lots of mood to a drab wall.

Note: The 802s are placed too high in the setup shown. For the best results, the maximum angle from a listener's ears to the 802 should be 10 degrees above or below the speaker axis. The speaker should ideally be positioned so its bottom edge is just over the head of the tallest person in the audience, maybe with 6"-8" additional height.

@rorybz Sorry, but with them lower the guests closer to the back of the room can't hear announcements, the room was very long, but narrow. I vary the hight from 8 feet to 16 feet. The depth of the room and the hight of the ceiling govern the hight of the speaker. I use a sound meter to set the room for balanced projection without hot spots around the floor. This care in placement prevents ringing ears after the event. The hight also works wonders to prevent feed back. Thanks, AX

How many amps were you running to each 802? Did you use the bose processor?

I currently have 2 802's that i use with the bose processor and 1800vi amp (450 watts/8ohms) and It really sounds great in our room. I rock them hard and performers are always very happy about the sound quality.

if it suits you then great,,i ljust like a more compact system,,,sometimes we have to set up in small spaces as i'm sure you do too lol.

i use my 2 l1 model 2's with up to 6 b1 bass modules and can honestly say ive never ran out of volume,in the venue on your vid i would take 2 model 2's and 4 b1's,

its the coverage of the bose that i love,,,less volume needed to reach the back means that front of house isnt deafening.

@ianmaz01 Keep in mind that the kit in the video has been updated. It's meaner and leaner in it's current form. the 802's are positioned at 9ft and can be raised to as high as 12ft this keeps the sound out of your ears and allows it two bounce around on the walls, It is true to Bose standards, it's an all over sound. The 802 is my favorite speaker due to it's 160 deg sound field. No other speakers I have used delivers the sound quality and space coverage. Thanks for your views & rock on.

jees man,,,,,you dont really lug all that kit??,,,,get a bose l1 system,,,,i have 2 and drive a hatchback,,all the power you need and no lugging.

@ianmaz01 Thank you for viewing, this system is from the 2008/2009 season. The 2010 upgrades have sent it over the top, new amps, new bass drivers. I have the L1 but it was not built to take the sound levels I run at and yes I do take all that stuff to events. It's big, tunable and blows the doors off other systems. Clients do not cry about the price because of what it can do. Look at it this way, it's level of performance is like a 747 taking off. Tons of thrust, right when you want it.
