@TheGunpowderTreason You are being a bit silly. No, I did not go to Wikipedia or look at some other videos. I have spent a considerable amount of time studying the constitution; although one can never study it enough. Here is my one question for you. How is Bachmann "highjacking our legal process" when she is proposing a constitutional amendment, which is in fact a legal process? You do not like Bachmann's politics, so you try to show that she is a hypocrite when she is not.
@TheGunpowderTreason It is also important to note that she is not proposing an executive fiat. On the contrary, she is proposing an amendment, so that the states and the government can equally consider the important implications of this issue. Furthermore, the 14th amendment as well as the full faith and credit clause have serious judicial and constitutional bearings on this issue. You can go look it up on Wikipedia, but you would be doing yourself a great disservice. Instead just read it!
@TheGunpowderTreason Now, Bachmann knows that the few states are going to use perverse interpretations of the constitution to force it on the rest of the country. Much like what has been done in recent cases. She does not seek to ban gay marriage through a federal ban. What she does seek to do is propose a constitutional amendment. A constitutional amendment is different that a federal ban because 3/4 of the states must approve it. Next time read the constitution then comment.
@willden15 I think you missed the point here my friend, I'm more opposed to someone hijacking our legal process in order to essentially reinforce the idea that certain American Citizens are inferior to those who think old magic books are great sources of relevant advice. The amount of detail you're providing in your responses only demonstrates that you went to Wikipedia right before posting and threw in a few "good to know" points so we might think you have an understanding of it.
@willden15 Your issue here is that we disagree about a social issue and, instead of doing the honest and mature thing and discussing intelligently to express the basis for your perspective, you press forth with the negative assertion that my understanding is flawed and my education is lacking. Yes, I'm aware of the process required to ratify an amendment to the constitution, kind of learned that in 8th grade when I initially read the constitution. Public education works on occasion.
@TheGunpowderTreason I am certain that if you -- and other liberals for that matter -- actually studied this issue you would understand Bachmann's answer. However, this is will never happen because you do not care about the constitution. Look at who the liberals elected, Barack Obama, the most anti-constitutional president in any of our life times.
@TheGunpowderTreason The reason is because your grasp on the constitution is so foolish, that you stump yourself. Do you know what the 14th amendment was intended to do as opposed to what its misinterpretation is? Do you understand what recent misinterpretations of the 14th amendment has done to federalism, as exemplified by the founders? I'm sure you do not. How about the full faith and credit clause? Do you understand the implications of the misinterpretations of that clause on this issue?
@willden15 And how did we get to the topic of the 14th Amendment? I can only assume you must have read an article/watched a video someone posted about it and thought "Well I need some credibility here, if I can smoke this liberal with my knowledge of a related topic I can look like I know what I'm actually talking about". If you had dredged up some new insightful information about the tenth amendment I'd be interested, but jumping off topic suddenly proves just about nothing to me.
@TheGunpowderTreason It was implied by your speaking mannerisms and your "neat graphics." Sadly, you know very little about the constitution. In extension, you do not comprehend Bachmann's argument. Unfortunately, a great many liberals do not understand the constitution, nor do they understand the framers; you seem to be in this group. However, it is positive to note that the words of the Tenth Amendment are in your lexicon and they are even in the right order!
@willden15 Wow...why is it that Conservatives are constantly saying that liberals have no understanding of the constitution while liberals are constantly surprised by the fact that conservatives can actually read.
We all form our own opinions and conclusions based on what we believe the constitution means...that's one of the joys of studying it. And as is obvious by the organic and evolving nature of our laws based on the constitution, it will continue to be long past our lives.
@willden15 Isn't Michelle Bachmann's argument, when distilled down past the artificial outrage and hijacked concept of Patriotism, that Gay Marriage should be banned no matter what legal methodology is enacted to do so? If the Federal Government won't ban it, let the states do it on their own? If the States won't ban it, make a sweeping Federal ban that overrides them?
This is all relatively moot anyway...Bachmann is a funny yet ever shrinking side event in the Grand GOP Freak Show.
It's simple. She completely understands the 10th amendment. She just wants to push a federal amendment to trump the states from ever passing a state law to recognize gay marriage. She's just is too dumb to explain it so we can understand her.

I am surprised this video even got 400 views. I guess all 400 of us did not realize we would get this uninformed commentary.

Please visit my channel for the unpopular truth about homosexuality.
A person does not need hatred or any kind of phobia in order to acknowledge important differences between heterosexuality and homosexuality.
It's beautiful when people lovingly, courageously oppose the homosexual agenda.

She really does seem to have a serious case of cognitive dissonance.
