Wow. I live in the US and I have been told of how during the Great Depression, that New York City got covered in a dust storm due to the Dust Bowl that happened in the great plains. Does this happen in Sydney all the time? I'm just wondering. And what could have brought this on?

I thought it was awesome.. So unique, considering we get one like once a blue moon and not even this bad.. I loved waking up seeing the sky red and orange.. But didnt like waking up to the smell of dirt and dust (as we leave windows a little open at night to let air in) and the fact our lawn was red and the poor dogs had dust on them..

Fuck! I was sleeping in Sydney St.Jame Park that night

and woke up at 6am seeing everying turned RED!

I didn't even know it was sand storm until I came back to Melbourne.

I thought it's normal condition in Sydney ..xP
