  • I don't know who your technical advisor was, but it wasn't anything like that. Pick up a copy of Platoon and study it. It 's not perfect, but it is a lot closer. The top of what looks like bunkers should have three layers of sand bags over heavy logs and psp. Mortars and rockets. The entrances should be set up with a ninety degree dogleg for protection from shrap, frags and RPG rounds. If that was wire in the background, move it in and create a larger kill zone. • First let me begin by saying thank you so much for serving our country in Vietnam! It means the world to us!!! As far as authenticity, we do not have the luxury of having millions of dollars and hundreds of cheap Filipino workers to build our FSB. We have extremely limited time and assets. We are completely aware of the things that we could have done to improve fighting positions and bunkers.

  • We never claimed any of this to be perfect, this was not a movie but a candid video shot during a Re-enactment. Our members are spread out all over the NW so work days on the FSB falls on about 2 people. I hope you understand.

  • Thanks for the insight!

  • why no usmc group

  • Nothing personal, we can only do so much. We are working up one right now, but it takes time for everyone to get the right gear.

  • i understand that

  • Is this an enthusiast club?

  • I would say so.

  • no noise

  • I'm sorry..... What are you saying?

  • theres no noise for it

  • There is no noise for what??? All our gun fire is real. There IS no dubbed in effects like yours.

  • no i meen there is noise for the vid

  • dude that is so awsome!

  • Thank you. To answer your question, we were firing off rounds into our perimeter to clear it of any enemy that had snuck up to the wire. Then we were hit by the VC forces.

  • great video.love to be able to do this

  • I want this!!!!!!!

  • Awesome vid, you guy's look like a freat crowd to re-enact with.
