Again ANYONE can take verses from the Bible to justify ANYTHING: immorality (polygamy),incest,racism against blacks,even muder..This why we need to be in a TRUE believing christian church so that biblical verses are interpreted CORRECTLY to know which verses are to be interpreted literally, figuratively or within an historical context..the Church Christ founded was given the KEYS and authority to do this in Matt.16: 18-19..
Well, I believe that the LDS church has the (same) keys and authoriry as Christ (which by the way can be traced back to Christ Himself) and you believe your church has the authority as well. It's good to have your own opinions, but try to have an open mind. I'm sure many churchs have good and correct principals and teachings. But our faith will only be faith until Christ comes again, then we will know the fulness of His gospel and what is truly literal and what is figurative.

Hi purplerain1055, I am a convert and when I was first in the church the LDS acronym lingo took some getting used to. Acronyms like LDS, RS, JST, KJV, MTC, BOM, D&C and the others which are talked about in this song, plus a host of others not discussed. It's cool that you are used to the "Utah speak". But I'm sorry to say that these "papyrus papers" were actually made out of gold. It's cool, believe what you want, but when what was writen coinsides so perfectly with the teachings of the Bible, it's hard to believe that he was a fraud. And I'm sure that none of the leaders of the church seek for evidence of truth (ie. going to Egypt, pillaging a tomb and calling Egyptian Hebrew- everyone would clearly notice that one). Believe what you may, but don't expose these ridiculous false facts.

Again ANYONE can take verses from the Bible to justify ANYTHING: immorality (polygamy),incest,racism against blacks,even muder..This why we need to be in a TRUE believing christian church so that biblical verses are interpreted CORRECTLY to know which verses are to be interpreted literally, figuratively or within an historical context..the Church Christ founded was given the KEYS and authority to do this in Matt.16: 18-19..

Well, I believe that the LDS church has the (same) keys and authoriry as Christ (which by the way can be traced back to Christ Himself) and you believe your church has the authority as well. It's good to have your own opinions, but try to have an open mind. I'm sure many churchs have good and correct principals and teachings. But our faith will only be faith until Christ comes again, then we will know the fulness of His gospel and what is truly literal and what is figurative.
