Does the surrounds only! Only the surrounds with the rest of the LCR/LFE.1 muted! Does the surrounds have some issues because I noticed the large gap spacing between the so called centre back surrounds is far too large a spacing! There should be solid uniform surround on the centre back without any gaps what so ever in the sound field.

Question on your ultracube 12. I also have one. Do you find you can only turn the volume on it up a little bit, or else if the bass is to much in a movie it cuts out? or is just me?

nope i leave it at half way the denon controls it pretty good with the auto room equalizer. it does not cut out

could be my amp then. Im using a HK AVR 330, which is about 5yrs old. So might be worth updating to something like a denon, or waiting for the new cambridge audio amp.

ummm i see u have hardwood floors and no carpets whatsoever..that means the sound quailty isnt getting absorb..so ur not getting the full quailty of sound from those very-high-end speakers....a throw rug and a few carpet panels should rectify that!!

Unbelievable! You have got a system! I love Definitive Technology. I want their Supercube Trinity Subwoofer and I plan on getting it. But why the blueray player and the ps3? The ps3 is a blue ray player.

=O what a time to get rid of your ps3. Gran Turismo 5 is coming out in 2010. Although ill be on forza 3 =P But I would definitely try Gran Turismo 5 is I had a ps3. Is the ps3 not as good of a blueray player as your umm toshiba?

And I have to ask, how do those BP7000 towers sound? I was looking at those awhile ago and those subs in the sides look absolutely deadly!

A stand alone blu-ray is better than the ps3 now, nearly all panasonic models of late are better, but the ps3 is still a good alternative.

No no no no no no no... WHY!?!?! Why do people NOT know how to place speakers? WHY do people mix and match speakers?

Speakers SHOULD all be of the same model line for the best timbre match. That's all a fact.

Your center channel should be as close to the screen as possible. Or as close to ear level as possible. NOT 6 or 7 feet up! My God!

Quick question though, why did you skimp out and buy the cheap 7006's?

You are an idiot, I have seen your videos and you have your front speakers sticking out in front of your projection screen that just looks like shit and you are telling other people how to place speakers. People can put there speakers where they want to it's their system. And get a real screen not just one painted on the wall, even if its some type real sceen paint you can't beat a real sceen.

how do you like the Denon 3808CI receiver? I am considering to buy it. People have told me to go for an Onkyo 876 the new one but i have not heard of it being great. other than being certified.

the 3808 is the best one i have yet and i had the yamaha 2700 then a sony 5300es then a pioneer elite 94 i was also looking at the onkyo but due to there heat problems i went with the 3808 and very happy with it and there firmware updates direct to the unit !

you think 8000$ is an expensive price for a complete home theater system? the speakers I want are 3800$ for the whole kit (5.1 system of axiom top of the line speaker(audiophile, actually)) the amp is probably about 800$ (harman kardon of course. all the others are not that good). around 2000$ for a hdtv 1080p 50" or more. 300$ for a ps3 as a blu ray player. without the cables the total is 8900. and i'm talking about the sound proofing of the room, the home theater sofa, It will probable hit 10K

You think $3,800 is expensive for speakers? One of my front speakers is $3,000 alone.

HK is alright for beginner HT people, I guess. But, upper-end Onkyo and Denon rates MUCH higher.

But, maybe you should look at the newest Pioneer Elite A/V receiver...  It's $7,000, and gorgeous.

i like good audio, but i don't think i'd spend 7000 for ony a receiver, axiom audio are rated a lot for the price. i didn't say they were the best, but a pair of M80 at 1500$ are compared to pairs of 3000$. maybe the 3000$ pairs are a little better, but the m80 are inexpensive, and i know, i didNt say they were not. I know you can buy a 30 000$ audio system, but it's 30 000$, lol.

not as bad as you may think, those deftechs are omni directional so they fire both left and right so there placement is not as critical as a forward firing speaker

I like Deftech and Denon Alot. I'm going to get the Pro Cinema 800 (4 Pro Monitor's 800 1 pro center 1000 and a Pro Sub 800) and a Denon 1909 receiver at the end of the year for my 1st home theater going in my bedroom. It's not as high up as yours but to me it sounds flawless I'm so excited. I'm only 21 but when I have a real job I'm gonna make a crazy high end home theater like you haha.
