In the 2006 model there is no touchscreen functionality. You have to use the controls for the center console screen. The same is true with the newer models as well.

I bought a used 2006 model as shown in this video in May 09. I love everything about this car. Just one negative point: there is no overhead sunglass holder as in most other cars. Other than that, it is a superb performane and luxurious suv

Did you calculate the currency difference? the US dollar is worth more then an Australian and there are other factors.

Yes. The ML is also a little bit better priced. Actually quite a bit better priced.

my mom has a fully loaded 06 ml black on black. what mb did was a great redisgn i used to hate the first generation, but the new one is nice. i love the new dash. after the ml came out all of there new models are copyed from it.

like the new c-class, the back tailights are from the ml, just smaller, but them same basic look. and the gl is just a streched ml and has more horsepower. just like comparing an escalade and the esv. thats all. but there are other models like the new cl and c class that their grill are the same and so are the front lights from some parts. mb is the best in car making besides bentley.
