  • now, i may only be seventeen, but my parents brought me up right, long trips to relatives, sat in the car listening to this. i absolutely loved every second. now that i'm older i have actually gone and seen this in concert twice. utterly fantastic and a great adaption from the book

  • i used to get nightmares from this but i loved listening to it HG Wells wouldn't be happy with the film it was set in london not usa for gods sake but still a good film

  • GREAT! not much more needs to be said.

  • Listening to this in the dark while in bed, scares the crap out of you

  • 30 years on and it still takes me to a diferent world amazing

  • I adore this!

  • i'm terrified of this song but i love it so much

  • I live in Horsell.. 50 metres from the common..

  • listening to this in an empty house, with my bedroom door open and the stairs behind me..... too scared to move at all now >,>

  • I grew up with this album as a soundtrack to much of my cherished experiences. It thrills and moves through every gamut of human emotion with scintillating sonic experimentation! I'm in awe even today what it reveals musically. I think Jeff Wayne is a most underrated producer/composer of great calibre - but time is proving that this raison d'être is one rarely, barely, matched by any other worthy contender of the genre. It made me want to produce music - 20 years later I did and continue to now.

  • Must learn the bass

  • i listen to this every night before i go to bed

  • God I love this album.... can't stop listening to it even 25 years after I first heard it. The 2005 Spielberg drivel is nothing compared to this.

  • @warszawianka Yes-I wish somebody would make a film version of Jeff Waynes war of the worlds but i have wishing that for a long, long time

  • @torpid2

As long as it doesn't star that to afraid to come out of the closet Tom Cruise it sounds like a excellent idea

  • You're a dude for putting this up, don't forget that.

  • Terrifying as a child, still pretty spine chilling now!

  • tell me about it my dad "The Bastard" made me sit down til about 3 in the morning with the lights out listenin to it with him when i were like 6 or sumthin, he thought it was a good idea, sure we laugh about it no- wait.... what the fuck was that noise

  • @bendym4n123 My Mum wouldn't listen to me when I screamed and cried about how scary I found this as a kid. It took a full nine months of therapy before I would sleep without a light on. :/

  • great bass.........terrifying too

  • It sounds wicked if you close your eyes while listening

  • If there would be a sound which would personify an alien, it would defenately be this sound. Sinister!

  • sounds like Flying Spaghetti Monster lol

  • great stuff, this still creeps me out.
