you know.. beside the judging that at present time is worthy of nothing, her routine with ribbon is the most difficult cause all the recover of the stick pulling at the ribbon are extremely risky. Staniouta often had mistake on her final recover of the stick.. no one else has SO many of them.. incredible. It requires a mastery of the apparatus absolutely incredible..

Yes, I do agree that she had difficulties in this performance. The COP rewards flexibility and as you may already know 50% of the elements must come from that sort of movement. However, it doesn't say anywhere that these movements must come from backflexibility. She may use her legs which she got plenty of.

The judges just couldn't resist adding insult to injury here; her ribbon score was the lowest of the four routines, and it was clearly well performed.

The shadow of bad judging will always be linked with Anna's career, but that's part of the reason she's such a legend. And you can't take away the hundreds of medals she's won at elite level.

As deccles points out though, ribbon was her second lowest score (rope being the lowest).

Que absurda la nota (de cinta), un ejercicio de tal categoria como el de bessonova merece mucha mas puntuacion, no importa si no superaba a kanaeva pero un 27.650 nadie se lo cree a los jueces.

It's very sorry that gymnastics will totally die when she will leave. Generation of Viner's robots came without the soul and charisma, with the set of elements in place of composition and bad taste in raising. They always will win, but we will remember the one only. Okay, here is what I absolutely do NOT get. She performed her ball routine almost identical to the one she did in the final, yet here she scores 1 point better. And again she is almost 1 point behind Kanaeva & Kondakova in ribbon??? Those judges seem sooo retarded.
