There are lyrics, but I have forgotten them. this was Vincent Lopez's theme song in the thirties...... The most difficult thing I mastered as a kid was learning to whistle Nola!
@samtheman264 Different what what version? Sue's? The original? I think this might be a reborn album? Not sure (I am PianoManiac101, this is another account of mine!).
But I have bought all of her albums on iTunes and the version that is on iTunes is identical to this.
My grandma died today and this was her favorite song ever. So if you read this listen in memory of Barbara Lindsay. She would have loved you. She loved everyone.
And, what would Lawrence Welk say? WUNNERFUL WUNNERFUL WUNNERFUL!
I am currently creating my own piano CD featuring Songs My Mother Played (a tearful journey down memory lane, for sure!), and NOLA is THE featured song that she played for me hundreds of times. My all-time favorite song. You did great! Thanks, Aaron
This made me cry, I miss my Mom so much! She could play Nola forwards and backwards, not kidding.
