The 2006-2007 models suck.I mean the engine and tranny are great! but the rims and tires bend every 400 miles.we bought a mazda 5 brand new back in 2006 and we have spent thousands of dollars on the rims and tires.not to mention everything on the rear end is broken. The new mazda 5's do not do this though.But please,get a newer model! trust me,let our stupidity be your smarts when it comes to buying a car.

That all depends, my mom owns a Mazda 5 for like 4 years now and the rims never bented or anything, and she drives quite a lot!

but if she doesnt have an 06,she will most likely not have the problem

On google type in 2006 Mazda 5 issues. oR type in Mazda 5 forums. They have at least 8 websites where people complain about the back end. We got an estimate today and with everything thats wrong with the back end of the car and the rims and tires,it was going to be 1,950

The mazda 5's centre seat in the secondrow is ridiculously narrow for an MPV meaning an adult is gonna be incredibly uncomfortable and the legroom in the thirdrow is somewhat restricted.

its not mpv anymore.. there is no center seat in the mazda 5 only 2 seats behind the driver and 2 more behind that...

i would say that over weight people might find any seat in this car uncomfortable with long drives. the last seat is left best to car seats 4 the kids

@nuumskee In the UK where I'am we get the centreseat in the middlerow on UK spec Mazda 5's(and it is rather uncomfortable being so narrow in the middle the second row of seats).
