I've got a Mac, and this was much easier than those tellin me to use Automator. Thanks middiablo. And "haha" to those who have a PC, I was once lost but now am found.
It's a nice solution if you have only a couple of PDF files and they don't have too many pages.
In the other hand, if you need to combine several PDF files and most of them have several pages, well... you must use Automator, otherwise merging files becomes quite a tough task.
@sampayu Actually, an easier way to do it that I didn't show in the video, is to just drag the favicon of one pdf window into the sidebar of the pdf you want to combine it with. This cuts out the step where you have to select all the pages in one PDF first. Just click and drag that little favicon in the menu bar, that's next to the title of the pdf, into the sidebar of the other pdf.
I see. But let me explain my case: I work with Aeronautical Information Service (AIS). Since some AIS publications are updated every 28 days and the publications come as a set of a dozen of PDF files (with an average number of 100 pages per each PDF file), in my case it's easier and faster if I download all the PDF files and then use an Automator script to merge them.
Your solution is good for small-size PDFs, but in my case I need to use Automator.
Well then you would use a web service like mergepdf dahgt net because this capability doesn't come built in on a Windows based PC. And I would've made that an actual link but apparently I still can't add those in comments on youtube! BAH!
Great video, thanks!!!
