  • could smoke a blunt to this

  • Cool song

  • does anybody notice, the saxaphone solo sounds like its from charlie brown

  • Skream. It was bound to be said, so I said it.

  • OG

  • i thought dave axelrod made this

  • @thefreeagent4life they did it together but in all honesty it sounds more like an axelrod track. i have to change the title

  • @abanks47 dont do that, the track is from a mccallum record

(if you where planning on changing the name from mccallum to axelrod)

  • plus you cant compare axelrod's personal sound with mccallums in that way, when axelrod made his sound heard one year later for the first time.

  • @MegaBanne i wont change it, but i still consider adding axelrod because he did help on the track. also i can compare the sound because it sounds similar to some of the other axelrod music i've heard. agreed though, after further research mccallum is the main artist behind the song.

  • @abanks47 i mean who knows, maybe axelrod got influenced by mccullum...

  • prity cool that this track was made 67.

It's incredible how funky some pre funk stuff can be.

  • @johnnydseconaccount

well i actually requested and asked if anyone had any info on the song, i want to know if anyone sampled it out of curiosity. why not take it easy

  • When something is sampled by a hip-hop producer or whoever, the producer is not trying to rip anybody off, they are paying homage to amazing music that has been lost, forgotten or slept on. Dr Dre,Premo,RZA, and their counterparts when sued do not begrudge giving money to the original artists, the problem is labels get the money and not the original musicians.

  • search for this on YouTube:

    M.O. & Brakko - Nasmaak

after a 30 second straight intro, they do some uncreative chopping to the McCallum track... these guys are from the Netherlands, if yer wondering...

  • man I wish this song was longer..

  • Dr Dre!

  • @NightmareTeeVee not realy, David McCallum.

  • "How many times has this been sampled?"

    Not enough.

  • @FOTSOproductions Why would you want it to be sampled?.... unless you're not satisfied with the orginal...

  • @pennywisem22 I am satisfied with it, very much so. But in the same way I like hearing a great saxophonist's interpretation of jazz standards, or a blues guitarist's own unique take on a Robert Johnson classic, I like hearing a great sample-based musician's take on songs with lots of stuff to sample. And this song, quite clearly, has so many different ways to interpret it through sampling. Of course, my argument assumes that you view sampling as an instrument (which I do, but most people don't).

  • @FOTSOproductions Just to add to this, it's not the fact of being unsatisfied with it, more so as it's an inspiration to see if one can flip it an entirely different way into a crazy beat in a way that one has never heard it yet.

  • @FOTSOproductions ever check out amon tobin

  • i cant belive that dr dreea stole his song.. ur the best david

  • isnt that the dude from ncis
