@MegaBanne i wont change it, but i still consider adding axelrod because he did help on the track. also i can compare the sound because it sounds similar to some of the other axelrod music i've heard. agreed though, after further research mccallum is the main artist behind the song.
M.I.A. by Missin' Linx (1998) The Next Episode by Dr. Dre feat. Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg and Kurupt (1999) Fallin' On by Tash (1999) No Regrets by Masta Ace (2001) America's Most Hated by Kevin Federline (2006) Good Morning (A Nice Hell) by Bronze Nazareth (2006) Transporter by Mazaradi Fox (2007)
When something is sampled by a hip-hop producer or whoever, the producer is not trying to rip anybody off, they are paying homage to amazing music that has been lost, forgotten or slept on. Dr Dre,Premo,RZA, and their counterparts when sued do not begrudge giving money to the original artists, the problem is labels get the money and not the original musicians.
@pennywisem22 I am satisfied with it, very much so. But in the same way I like hearing a great saxophonist's interpretation of jazz standards, or a blues guitarist's own unique take on a Robert Johnson classic, I like hearing a great sample-based musician's take on songs with lots of stuff to sample. And this song, quite clearly, has so many different ways to interpret it through sampling. Of course, my argument assumes that you view sampling as an instrument (which I do, but most people don't).
@FOTSOproductions Just to add to this, it's not the fact of being unsatisfied with it, more so as it's an inspiration to see if one can flip it an entirely different way into a crazy beat in a way that one has never heard it yet.
please help-me : who knows the title of the rap group "harlem-hoodz", which samples also the beginning of this song? (As findable on a dj premier mixtape )

thefreeagent4life 1 month ago
@thefreeagent4life they did it together but in all honesty it sounds more like an axelrod track. i have to change the title
abanks47 1 month ago
@abanks47 dont do that, the track is from a mccallum record
(if you where planning on changing the name from mccallum to axelrod)
MegaBanne 1 month ago
plus you cant compare axelrod's personal sound with mccallums in that way, when axelrod made his sound heard one year later for the first time.
