  • shocking but good to know

  • Stupid stupid sheeple...

One makes currency.. he then retracts the currency from the market when he wants economic change (or other change)= DEPRESSION.. ITS THAT SIMPLE SHEEPLE...

"The Act establishes the most gigantic trust on earth. The greatest crime of the ages is perpetrated by this banking & currency bill. From now on, depressions will be scientifically created."

    - Charles August Lindbergh, US Congressman, 1913, on the passage of the

    Federal Reserve Act.

    Wake up you fools!

  • equalmoney!! google it

  • when people cant find work they get desparate. we all know what's next! And guess what people "EVEN AFTER PRESIDENT OBAMA IS GONE". Unemployment will not go down. It will hover around 8% to 10% FOR YEARS TO COME.

Protect Ya Neck Shit Is Just Starting To Get Ugly Folks. Yawl aint seen SHIT YET!!!

  • The whole world should shorten the work week so that the jobs that are still out there can be divided among more people.

  • how about we make it so business want to say and come here to do business rather then asking people to pay more for stuff by looking for a made in america tag. think of the job market as the ocean, the more toxic the waters the less fish you will find.

  • To understand anything ask yourself "who benefits?" and follow the money. Do you really think our leaders and economists are so stupid that this happened by accident?

  • The result of going green

  • That's really silly, actually bordering on ignorant. I am not a green person, but I am realistic and this is a result of a housing bubble, resulting from deregulation of markets.

  • @meidc

When exactly did the US go green? >__>

  • Soon America will be just like BHO's fathers land, we will be a third world country with famine and stearvation running rampant.

  • All part of the Progressive agenda. Bankrupt the USA and usher in the USSA. Our only hope is for the Tea Party to create a group that is that of the PEOPLE of the USA and get rid of all the corrupt, out of touch Rep. and Dems!

  • the "Lyon King" and his court (Pelosi) and Chicago corrupt cohorts ride again and take us to ruin..how "bout the new budget taking us to bankrupcy? unite and throw them out

  • Thank you Obama. Thank you for putting my great nation in the shape of Chicago. Iam really wishing my vote was counted.

  • In the next few hours it will need updating again.

We hear the Bureau of Labor Statistics will increase the unemployment figures from March 2008 to March 2009 by around 800,000.

800,000 kept off the unemployment figures for 11 months.

What's the undercount for March 2009 to March 2010.. 1 million then!.

The whole notion that these figures are any way accurate when there are 5, 10, 15 million illegal aliens floating around is preposterous.

America is finished, unemployment alone shows us that

  • and 3 yrs of Dem congressional majority who holds the pursestrings..get real!

  • @Raini411 Unemployment was at historic lows during the first 6 years of Bush and his spendthrift Republicans. Around 5% and better.

In the 7th year, the Real-Thing, SPENDTHRIFT Democrats (including Sen. Obama) took over Congress. (Congress controls all spending.) It has been all downhill from there.

Ya, he "inherited" it. Funny, he did NOTHING to stop it.

Still, if you like black and purple better than yellow and white. this map is GRRRRREAT!

  • @minowekay Well said. Fact they are pesky aren't they.

    kinda just blows things up.

  • @CONAMERICAN I was angry at Bush and the Republicans for their profligate spending, but I tried to console myself by assuming that their spending might help the economy grow, post 9/11.

If I was right, Obama has managed to prove there's a limit to that theory. At some point, for instance taking a trillion dollars out of the private sector, government spending is NOT stimulative!! It's SCARY.

I'm expecting a return of Jimmy Carter's stagflation.

That will be Bush's fault, too, I'm sure.

  • @minowekay I agree that made made as well. it did a lot of damage for Rep champion that fact and ideal

  • Wow Michigan was the first to go, almost a full year before all the rest that turned purple. Are you guys following? Have you seen videos of Detroit where every other store front is empty and hallowed out and they have no prospects and no housing and tons of vagrants.

This is how all the purple will look in another half year ....

  • Nice idea, but we won't pay the prices to that things manufactured in the US would cost. Look at the mouse in your hand. Would you pay 2-3 times what you paid for it? Maybe you would, but would one million of your friends do that too? Like it or not, we are a global economy. Ask yourself what your government does to encourage companies to move offshore. They do quite a lot. Compare the US corporate tax rate to other countries. Even so, global economy is not why the US economy is in the toilet.

  • The wheels for this to happen were already turning when he took office. You must be blind, stupid, or both!! This was a result of the decisions made by the Bush admin. and then mistakes made by the Obama admin. The problem with our country is partisan hacks like you that can't see beyond your political party!

  • OH SHI- Michigan!

  • People who constantly talk about outsourcing are probably the same people running to Walmart with their nearly maxed-out credit cards to load up on all the cheap Chinese crap they sell there. Way to solve the problem!

    WAKE UP!

The real problem is the private bank known as the Federal Reserve. It's not even about the gold standard. We had the biggest crash with the gold standard! That crash happened about 20 years after the FED took control of our money. Coincidence? I don't think so.

    Winston

  • Blogs like this are hilarious! It's so easy to pick out the gullible "ditto-heads" who have been out-foxed by faux news, blaming the unions and outsourcing and Obama. Then there's the poor fools who actually believe politicians who promise "change". Lastly, and thankfully, we have the people who see beyond the left/right lie. People like ChristopherMarlowe and kaytian1 who see reality.

And then , when people like TheMsjohnson1956 suggest a reasonable solution, she is ridiculed by the blind.

  • To reflect the continuing decline of the state of nation's economy, you might have to add some more colors. :(

    Great video! Wake up people!

  • You're right, it does. Of course, you do realize that there is a bit of a lag time between when the government does something and when it actually has an effect on the country, right?

What that means in plain English is that it was the activities of the previous 8 years that we are now feeling the fallout of. Thanks Bush and friends!

  • correct the people that had the hammer at the point when those that no longer had the hammer finally decided there was a problem, pointed out the problems in housing etc, were not allowed to turn the ship because of political advantage due to crisis. with chaos comes opportunity, never waste a good crisis; from the manual on community organizers. it actually dates to the house leadership changing, the same? probably, but the republicans were on a drunken spending binge, then the alcoholics came.

  • This was a matter of time for this to happen. You can't live on credit cards and spend like a madman with a bubble waiting to burst and expect nothing to eventually happen. The globalists are in glee.

I see the map turning to black and purple over 15 seconds and it reminds me watching an orange rot. Try it.

  • Do you have a newer version that goes into January of 2010?

  • its that important

  • A liberal mind falls in love with a concept - like Socialism/Communism and feels that past failures are the result of the people who tried them, not the concept. The most recent example is the election in Mass of Senator Brown. They blame Ms Coakley for the loss, not their socialist agenda.

They will never change their minds!

  • WAKE UP AMERICA!! Are you on welfare? Do you work a government job? Then you are already dependent on the government for your food, clothing, etc. and are already a slave. Now they seek to enslave all of us and our children and our children's children. "They" being the power hungry, greedy peoples of this world. Have you had enough yet? When will you fight back and how? I fear casting a vote will not change anything. Do you really believe they have your best interests at heart? Hope & change LIE

  • the missing 13th Amendment

  • People want to make this into a left/right issue. WTFU. The off-shoring of US jobs has been going on for a long time. There is only one party in Washington and YOU are not invited. The globalist zionist bankers have just been bailed out with trillions of Treasury dollars. Now they can take possession of everything when you default. Another fiat money ponzi scheme gone bust. The music has stopped. Sit on a chair or you will be out of the game.

  • I am with you on dumping unions! I would love to see capital gains and death taxes go away! But the biggest proublem is we no have a president who is pushing policy that is harming us!

  • stop spending our money on overseas occupations, like Iraq, or Afghanistan

  • I bet that one of the unemployed is the person who uploaded this video, he was laid off because he couldn't figure how to render it in a 16:9 ratio

  • Why do employee's of government get to vote on tax issues?? That's like letting your kids tell you how much their allowance should be.

  • THANKS OBAMA FOR COSTING US JOBS AND MORE TAX PAYER MONEY... OH YEAH BAILOUTTTTT STIMULUSSS bullllshit.

  • Vote out the Unions

  • Thanks for your reply, Mr. Limbaugh

  • Baby boomers we must pay attention to where our products are being manufactured. We have the numbers to change this trend. Reward the companies that are trying to stay. If we buy cheap now.. think of what result will be for our grandchildren.

  • @TheMsjohnson1956

ha, baby boomers don't care about long term consequences. What have you been smoking?

  • I'd love to see a world wide representation of recession data. Any chances of getting that?

  • STOP OUTSOURCING OUR JOBS AWAY!

  • Cochituate7Lake that is total bull shit! Reagan policy led to huge economic growth for one of the longest stretches in our history!

  • Idiot

  • Hey DUMBASS when you call a cust. service rep from companies, you get people from india! at least UNIONS have ENGLISH speaking people!!! think before you speak!!!!!

  • @williambdornfeld Yep! That would help!

  • Hoax and chains for the people. Brought to us by barak hussein obama. MMM, MMM, MMM.

  • Those with reasoning ability know this was a result of long-term abuse by an abusive president and vice-president. Dumb bunnies will think Obama came in and immediately wrecked the world. It will be even more interesting to see what this map looks like after Obama's term.

  • @zhmmmy Although the Bush administration was a complete failure, the economy is the result of sub prime mortgage hanky panky. Perhaps Obama should focus on the economy, rather than socialized medicine. Fix the economy and there won't be a need for gov't controlled health care.

  • BHO didn't come into office and wreck the world. Wrecking of the USA began over 100 yrs ago with centralized banking and its advocates. Read some real history and you will know. But we are now on the BHO Express, heading fast for the cliff! Stop thinking donkeys and elephants and look at the person! We have let the wrong people rise to power in this country! Take responsibility and act accordingly.

  • Brilliant presentation LaToya. I knew the current unemployment numbers were not good but your work really puts the situation in perspective.

  • In my personal opinion the only thing I blame on Obama, Reid and Pelosi is that they took me for granted. They continue their work to over throw the Republic of the United States. And for that high crime and other misdemeanors, they should be treated as Traitors, tried and if convicted ..........Well, I have lost the liberty to complete that sentence.

  • Congress is the one most responsible for the high rate of unemployment. Our present Administration is also not taking the right steps to right this situation. If the Administration and Congress doesn't change its direction look for time to get very very bad for all Americans. 12 trillion in debt and the health changes will cost 2.5 trillion a year. China and Japan will not lend us anymore money so all we can do is start up the printing presses and inflation will go out the ceiling.

  • what planet are you living on?

  • By all means, explain to me why I'm wrong. Things aren't as simple as cable news talking points.

    @DONGOE

Blaming for what? The current unemployment? I blame a long history of poor planning in this country. I blame Alan Greenspan for allowing the bubbles in the market, even in the wake of the tech bubble. I blame the Bush administration for launching two wars and running up the national debt (I support one war, the other is baseless and has proven to be a giant drain on this country).

  • i first saw this at the american observer site. my first thought after wtching it was "this is a (very) short horror flick and a scary one at that!" do you plan on updating the map in the future?

  • I don't know how they say the recession is over! LOL. I hope things improve by the spring like they have said. I hear of a another economic down turn this year! BOO! I hope this isn't true. I really need a job.

  • Main street is correlated with a delay of wall street. Wall street went way down in early 2008 but main street, things like employment and average wages, operate on a delay of what happened to the stocks ~6 months ago. The stocks have actually been going up for a little while now, but it takes some time for main street to catch up.

  • The deregulation of certain sectors certainly contributed, however, even that is minor. What really sunk the whole situation is that investment banks and their ilk (shadow banks) rose to rival traditional banks in weight (of financial sector). However, they were not nearly as regulated (required reserves to prevent insolvency for instance), nor was the money lent to them federally guaranteed, like with traditional banks (FDIC). When the CDS' began to fail, it essentially triggered a bank run.

  • The idea that the Democrats pushing for housing for the poorer is ludicrous. The only way you could possibly blame the Democrats for that is if they ORDERED banks to do it, and then guaranteed the loans. The government doesn't own the financial system, which means that one political party wishing for more home mortgages completely ignores the fact that the banks themselves determine the risk and reward of such a loan. The banks would not have issued those loans if it wasnt for the repackaging.

  • Unfortunately, the government applied incentives to the bank to issue these loans thru lower inter bank rates for participants. However, the packaging of these loans as AAA rated, was criminal.

  • What you didnt see was a boat taking the jobs over seas....

  • This has more to do with credit default swaps and the fact that mortgages were used as collateral. Coupled with soaring gas prices (remember $147.00/barrel oil?), people started defaulting on bad loans.

The banks had in their power to deny or decline mortgage applications they felt did not measure up to their standards. There were no politicians twisting arms to force banks into making bad loans. The banks did this on their own, once regulations had been lifted at the behest of conservatives.

  • The current problem did not start with Obama, but with the Federal Reserve Banking System 100 years ago. For the 100 years preceding their formation the dollar remained worth a dollar. in the 100 years following? 3 cents. Combine that with the removal of the gold standard and easy credit, and the dollar became gold and Americans lived the life o'Reilly, Now the piper comes to collect.

  • It had nothing to do with Bush, or more recently with Obama.

It all started with the housing/banking collapse that was caused by the Democrats pushing for years to sell houses to people that were bad risks and couldn't afford them.

  • If you get deep into the cause you can go back to Nixon taking the Dollar off the gold standard in 1971 and removing any discipline in monetary creation. But Boom and Bust is part of humans nature to follow trends. The Smart ones create them get in early and get out at the top. Will always be in a cycle.

  • Tying our currency to non-mobile gold price was seriously KILLING us on the international stage. The only option we had was to continuously update the price of gold/dollar, which was the same as just cutting it free and letting it float.

You can't have a pegged system while maintaining monetary policy control and free capital flow. It's a very simple concept called the "Impossible trinity" look it up.

  • It's like cancer

  • Wow, this is incredible and now I am confused. Unemployment under Bush increased only 1.2% and under Obama it has increased nearly 5%. I have been listening to the news and to the Obama administration blame Bush so much that I had no idea how bad it has actually gotten since Obama took over. This has waken me up and I will now join the tea party

  • You're looking at this problem in terms of complexity as if it's a game of tic tac toe, but it's really a chess match. There are a myriad of factors that have been at work for almost 100 years. This is well beyond on president or another.

Whether boom or bust - the economy is like a snowball rolling downhill. The gains or losses grow exponentially as the ball rolls down the hill.

This coming from a gun owning, republican voting, business owner, and Texan - FAR from liberal.
