  • thanks for this bro' much help.

  • WAIT! you said "starter amp" But you have a Type R 12 inch (looks like) in a ported box.. WHY not spend the cash for an amp cheap fuck.

  • Nice vid. I think I'm sticking to an expert to install my system instead of me messing it all up lol

  • I wouldn't run mi power wire over mi engine block.

  • @ccchhheeezzzeee Ha I was just going to say that, that shit will melt and end up breaking or tangling or something.

  • @SirKaleidoscopeSkies @ccchhheeezzzeee did you dumbasses read the annotation

  • why do niggers always say "you know what im saying?"?

  • Great vid

  • yes,,i know what you're saying!

  • "believe it or not, this truck was sitting for 2 years"

  • Your actually suppose to pass the power wire by the drivers side theres a hole near the gas pedal that leads out to the engine.

  • What fool runs his power cable over the top of his engine block

  • having a hangover?

  • You see that gold copper wire?

  • what amp wirekit did you used to install it???

  • Anyone know how to take off that geometry he had

  • This really helps Thanks

  • this is the biggest stereo type black guy with a suv and a fat sub

  • bullsh.... bullcrap.

  • DAMN SON you got some big ass lips!!!!

  • U should have drilled out a hole under the master brake cylinder thing. I did that than ran it under the carpet on the driver side...but nice car bro I have a 96 haha

  • Yo Walmart brand kit is better than my Walmart brand kit.. lmao

  • thanks my nigga

  • Did I tell yall im only using one hand

  • That's all well and fine, but I was planning on installing it in my car.Not one that was lifted from across town.I'm just sayin'.

  • you're a one handed boss dude props.

  • Thanks man, Not particually a fan of the gangster talk, but at leased you know your shit.. Most black guys pay for it to get done..

  • the sony xplode amps are really not that bad, the sony xplode amps are known for having the RMS rating at what the amps says, since that one is 1000 watts it is most likely 1000 watt if not really close to 1000 watt.

  • Yezzir nigga thanks

  • FUCK YEAH! 2:47 curious george ftw.

  • thanks for the help

  • nigga thanks

  • Big Lips, omg, so what ??

    Thanks !!! Creat video ;)

  • lig o bips

  • Then you dont need this fucking Remote shit :D

  • Why do you dont take + energy from radio and radio is installed to keylock ??

  • Cool vids bro, Check my channel out to see my 2500watt project. Btw you kinda look like Wiz Khalifa haha. Awesome!

  • good lookin out young homie

  • RMS mean "root mean square" not continuous power... But good video.

  • @kjmccarx root mean square means the average power that the amp puts out. As in the amount of power that the amp can CONTINUOUSLY put out. So yeah, RMS might as well mean continuous power...

  • great video, but big ass lips

  • @concussiongiver go fuck yourself

  • @concussiongiver lmao :))

  • Very thorough Man!!Appreciate it!!

  • look at dem lips

  • @xxscribzxx Was that necessary?

  • omg i have that screwdriver

  • i have the other typ r but it sound alot beter if you get an obcon dule port box

  • hey lambo

    i have a 98 explorer

dont u know if a double dim stereo would fit in without any cutting, carving or modification to the deck??

    thanks

  • @p3p1t0gangsta

    No, it won't.

  • @p3p1t0gangsta hey bro i dont know if he still replys since its a year old but i thought i would answer your questiong. If you use your remover tools to remove stock head you will see that there is the hard plastic that comes up pointing tward the head unit and it surrounds it all the way around i just bought this head unit (Pioneer FH-P8000BT) and it is the regular double dim. i will have to grind or shave the surrounding plastic to install it. you will have to do it with all doubles.

  • in a 03 tahoe is there a hole in the same spot to run the wire to the battery or do u have to drill it? i dont want to drill a hole

  • all i gotta say is two things. ask any real mechanic and do ur research

  • You're fabulous! Thanks, buddy!

  • Your not my boy what you talking about willis

  • how do i get my power wire through the firewall

  • just wanna correct you there: fuse is there to protect your amplifier, if short circuit happens it will try to go through fuse. fuse wont let big current through it self and it will burn out and u need to buy new one (on fuse it is written what is the max electric current that can handle) great video though =)

  • Reroute ur power wire shit looks like junk

  • you suck i see your ford on fire run the wire on the fire wall

  • i like ur accent bro

  • no negative which is ground is always taken off last and put on first

  • @mufkinbeast no its not dumbass i know, im a technician

  • @lilnugizaking good for you and im gonna laugh when your ass gets electocuted because the current trys to find a way to make connection with the ground and your the only way to get there.

  • @mufkinbeast exactly. and to prevent that u take the ground off first. so wat r u talking about. u just corrected urself. dude, y would u hook ground on a circuit first? when u do that ur completing the circuit. with only power the circuit cant do anything because it is the input. the ground is the output, meaning anything that touches it will manipulate the circuit thinking that it is the input.

  • @lilnugizaking no if you unhook the ground first the path to the ground is taken away and it gives the electricity an opporinunity (how ever its spelled) to use you to become grounded. the ground wire is like a safety wire. if you werent touching the ground it wouldnt matter but since you are it needs to be grounded or you run the risk of electrocution. its not common but it can still happen.

  • @mufkinbeast i have just been reading the conversation you have had with lilnugizaking. i am a technician myself and i never take the positive off first. if you take the posi off first you risk blowing several components with excessive current because they will still be connected through earth to the battery. i have never taken a ground cable off first and been electrocuted because 12v simply isnt enough to have an effect on the human body.

  • @moshinguitarist and if you guys are technicians then why are you watching a video on how to install an amp when its somthing thats in your field of work?

  • @mufkinbeast i am only watching it cuz i have nothing better to do on a sunday afternoon. just killing a bit of time. i also like to see how different people wire them in like this guy, i have never seen someone put a live wire straight across the top of the engine.

  • @moshinguitarist

thats what im sayin. hes askin for a fire

  • @mufkinbeast it may not be enough but i like being safe, and also i tested this myself, i recently had to reset my computer and the guy before me had a posi connector on the negative terminal and i left the posi connected when i was changing the negative connector and when ever i touched the negative end wat happened it sparked. i have never had it spark when ground was connected and the reason is so it doesnt use something else to ground it because any ungrounded current is not stable.

  • This is why i have a BMW, Battery is in the trunk and so are my subs. im running 4 10" Powerbass S-104D Subs off a 4000 Watt Mono channel AMP and it BUMPS!

  • 7:19 " I don't even bother plugging the wire back in." Haha watch that be your turn signals or something and you been driving without them. haha.

  • great video thanks for the help

  • What type of amp do i need for two 12s?

  • @TheStyleNistaDG mono or class d i think theyre called but wattage wise it depends on what wattage of 12s

  • 3:43 woulda been funny if the other end of that wire was grounded

  • For all you call him an idiot and whatnot...how about this. Maybe, just maybe, you can sit down with your parents, and ask them why they didn't raise you correctly. In today's society, respect will get you far. You could have simply stated "That isn't the best way because of this" and then give an alternate. That's much more effective than saying "You're a fucking idiot, go suck a dick, this is wrong". Grow up a little bit.

  • @Heammawihio Agreed.

  • only thing i would change about this aside from how the power wire is in the engine bay, is always put the power wire on the battery LAST to avoid contact with metal and shorting out or sparks.

  • Oh Lord im glad my battery's in my trunk..

  • i need help with how to split the power to two amps can a 4 gauge be use as input and then use the same gaues as the other two outputs or does the wire has to be smaller than the input

  • Fadded bro

  • niggers gona nig

  • this helped me alot. i have a 98 explorer. if i hadn't seen this vid i would not have known how to do this.

  • thanks bro tht helped out alot

  • glad you posted this vid. i got a 95 explorer also. i just got a kicker sub and amp for my first sub/amp. didnt know anything about the installation process till this vid. thanks bro

  • your an idiot for going over your engine with your pos cable... and by the way guyyyyy... not even finished with the video and you have already fucked up 2wice.... always unplug positive side first and put it on last!!!! if you take the ground off and if it grounds to the frame you just achieve nothing.. positive only....

  • @The3dperez

Can I ask why you take the positive off vs the negative? Because current flow from negative to positive.

  • my power wire is thin would it still run my amp and sum

  • he wats dat fuse thing called dat u said so it will only burn the fus not the other thing the black in the middle wit two red wires

  • this helped me understand, thank you man!

  • you know what i'm sayin?

  • hes definately from philly i can tell lol nice work man

  • This helped out a lot, thanks!

  • YO YOU SOUND LIKE MOS DEF ON DA BOONDOCKS LOL!!!! gREAT VID BRA

  • having that wire across the engine isnt to safe man should hide that wire and those battery termanals will fry your battery

  • dsht dsht and dshtant ... lol i understood tho

  • @hanfordcali559 nvm im trippn sry xD

  • Fuck man you got some big lips like huge lips how can u talk

  • OMG Lips

  • can you please help me! when i have connected everything up like you did i still cant play my sub as my amp in is protection mode? with a red light? please help anyone!

  • @trampolinist2 You might have hooked up wrong...it sounds like u blew a fuse in your amp..

  • @myjerklol ive fixed it thanks but it was that i didnt have a good enough ground point :)

  • fuck all you haters!! good video man!

  • i have a 600 watt for my car dont wanan go big nd it doesnt play the subwoofer i dont if im hooken up the inputs nd outputs worng this amp has like 2 out puts so do i gotta use 2 rca cables or one nd its a soney xplod head unit

  • You're an idiot for just letting the power wire just run across your engine.... What if it gets caught on like a belt and is ripped all thru your pulleys and stuff? It's a very good tutorial but you should probably snake the power wire around the back of the engine lime up against the firewall, that's what I did on mine ^.^

  • I love it how he calls an Alpine R Type sub a piece of junk...

  • @ipullstuffapart kinda are i like rockford myself or xxx but alpine's are like lightning audio there good but not best and easy to blow IMO

  • Good video....but don't diss your gear man. Even if it's cheap, it's yours and that's all tha tmatters :-)

  • This guys Lips are bigger Than Earls

  • Just want to let you know, good job on the video, it was fun to watch and you confirmed some things that were good to know. All 4 pts are good. Easier to watch than some square talkin shit.

  • alot of bullshit talk, good video though

  • how is this ghetto?

  • do u have to take off positive ?

  • @pat123pat456 negative

  • thanks, your a big help

  • Thanks man, this was a big help. I don't know about you, but putting a deck in the explorer was a real bitch

  • vid*

  • nice did man, ima be doin a install soon and try to post some vids of what I do.

  • this guy sounds like big sean

  • is it alright to push a 750w rms sub with a 900w rms amp?

  • @13dogman13 nah man you will may blow you sub. probably dont wanna do that

  • @13dogman13 yeah just tturn the amp to like 5. i like to try to keep the peak of the amp below the peak of the sub and the rms of the amp going about half the rms of the sub. fiddle with eq and your gonna get quality without blowin your speakers. you can push all you want man but ill your deciding is how fast or slow you kill your speakers

  • @13dogman13 yes that is fine 900 watt amp just means it is capable of putting out 900 watts at its max power so unless u turn it up all the way u wont blow ur subs and ull hear it before that happens it will become very distorted which means chill with the volume

  • @DjJBMIII its actually an 900rms amp its 1800w peak, i just dont go bu the peak value casue it means nothing imo

  • good video, man. helped me out a shit ton!

  • thanks man you helped save me some money!

  • fuck the haters man thanks for the vid

  • nice man!! i love this video..even tho i have worked for a sound equipment company before in california im still watchin people doing it from here and if they make mistakes i always make sure to correct them (if they would like too...) jeje so yup i guess you need to put the red cable a lil bit farther to the motor and put it somehwhere else with less heat...so it could last longer man :) and that way you will prevent a fire.. (other than that i love the job you did in this video :D )

  • Walmart wiring kit I got that joint !!!! And as far as the fool talkin gauge's I got got a 12 gauge and you cant even spell gauge anyway fool . I got a 2002 explorer nice ride and 2008 malibu ,,in the mali 2 type r's and already killed the sony amp ,,thinkin I need a mono block ??

  • Well. It's not the most organized video?

but... it's decent IF you pay attention and TAKE NOTES!

You saved alot of people alota money.

  • yeah can anyone help?

    ive got a 1200w sub and a 2800w amp

wat size wire would i need ?

  • @xNathanProx

Well to start what is your subs rms and your amps rms? because thats a ton of extra watts going to your sub and you will probably blow it. And you should get 2 guage or 4 guage for that much power

  • @GoldFish705 i got 2 sony xplod 12s they are both 1200 watts and i have a 1000 watt amp what size wire would i need?

  • @Marj675 4 guage will be good

  • walmart shit
