yes it can run crysis on v.high 35-35fps,very decent..it is a great card and extremely underrated!It has some functions that improve it's own performance!!it is really great for a sub 100E card!

it would make a difference if your limited on ram because 7&vista take up atleast 1gb of background memory while xp only taking up 64mb of background memory big difference the less background memory bein taken up the better meaning faster performance in games but if you have vista and 7 chances are you have 4gb or more memory installed in your pc so i guess it wouldnt matter but for those rare few who are limited it does

4730, odd card that.

The 4730 only has a 128 Bit memory interface, the 4830 has a 256 bit memory interface. Though, the 4730 has gddr5 memory and the 4830 has gddr3, so I would have though that makes them even. Seems a very strange way of doing though. And what's with the 2 6 pin power connectors?

I get about 45 fps maxed/no aa in l4d at 1650x1080 with a 256mb 8600gt. The games that he has tested in this video are top of the line. With this care you can expect 60+ maxed out at 1650x1080

However, missing 2 important games to understand the performance of this card: crysis and gta4.

There are some problems:

1. Crysis was made for NVIDIA cards

2. GTA PC Version is SO BAD Optimized. I can run the game with my 8600GT BETTER than some people with a 9800GT/GTX. It sucks.

3. FRAPS RAPES the FPS of Crysis, Assassin's Creed and GTA IV.

4. Your videos are Crysis Warhead Videos. Crysis Warhead runs better than Crysis.

But actually I have some Crysis videos recorded. But I guess the video will not be HD.

1. what? crysis works fine on ATI. it's just less optimized than warhead but work fine on 4830.

2. with patch 1.2 gameplay is more smooth

3. i know! you can write in the info all performace (with and without fraps).

4. with 9.2 ATI driver and last patch of crysis it's more smooth.

I have one question though, that really annoys me with ATI's. My experiences with them is that the drivers are often buggy and can cause weird graphical glitches in-game, such as misplaced textures, fading objects, or stretched polygons.

How is the HD4830 treating you so far when it comes to this?

Oh, and great video! I bet you get some crazy frame rates in Burnout: Paradise. I can play at about 30-40 fps at 1440x900 on high with my 8600gt.

Those graphical issues are called "artifacts", those are probably caused by overheating the card. Upgrade the cooling system of the card and avoid OverClocking. Now with the 8600GT just take a look at the card's temperature, avoid OC anyways

i can oc really well with my 8600gt. Very high, and it runs stable at like 54 C. I have only 1 fan, and the fan/heatsink of the card. I just leave my case open sometimes. With the case closed, it's like 57 C.

Well, my SPECS are not high-end either. Average FPS may possibly vary during the game due to the number of objects and models on screen in the different stages. Sometimes you can get less FPS, sometimes more.
