Is that pro even two handed player. I am a pro who plays two handed and I would never suggest a two handed slice to any one with a one handed forehand LOL.
you can use this racket, ok, maybe you're gonna play a little better, who knows... But fuck! you're gonna look so stupid! I'd rather win just a little fewer matches with a regular racket, playing beautiful tennis than using this
@aviramdj I don't know Fabrice Santoro in person, he told he has one at home in an interview on the ATP site.
Trust me...you can serve well with the two-handled racket, the serve is my best stroke and the guy in the video can serve at 139 Mph (about 225 Km/h).
It's those that think outside the box, and find new ways to compete and improve and change, that impress me the most. I can't even imagine if I had played with a one hand forehand and serve, and missed out on a full ride scholarship, that paid for all my schooling that lead to me being a professor. And yes, I'm getting the racket. :)
The proper way to do things is not always the best. You know why? Because 5 billion other people are also doing the 'proper' way to do things. And if you aren't elite at that method, you aren't going anywhere. There is no reason why you cannot try something different to gain an advantage. I am 120 pounds, and played at Purdue Univ, but mostly because I played two hands on both sides and even have a two handed serve. If I had played 'proper' like tennis, I would have been waxed by everyone.
It's actually quite similar to Brian's serve, in that you throw the ball up with the left hand and then grab the racket with both hands and rip over the top of it. It certainly doesn't have the power of a one hand serve (which I also used), but I can put both right and left handed spin on the ball. I could switch between either spin at the last second, which made it very difficult for other players to pick up where the ball would go each time.
it wouldnt be hugely impossible to do two handed serve, but in theory, wouldnt that mean you cant stretch as much as those of the single handed serve? as far as anyone is concerned, serve is only powerful if u get it full-stretched
plstrom, I played tennis and I totally understood what you meant, some people are so fanatics they can't see anything else, you explained very well. And yes Santoro is a great sport man.
Alright... So the dude is 36 years old, has been around the top20 for a good part of his career, is probably one of the smartest players ever to play the game, tatically unbeatable, and he isn't an example of a tennis player???
You really must be watching tennis in a different universe!
anyway, i only mean that Santoro's tennis isn't a good example for someone to follow as a tennis player not as a sports man.I was refering to the basic style, and i still think that if you were a player, you would get what i mean...

That's nothing like Santoro's slice forehand, he lets go with his right hand and keeps his left on the racket.

Santoro plays a 1 handed racquet .. geeee i wonder why he didnt use your "amazing" racquet" .
I feel real sad for anyone that buys this crap .
aviramdj 1 year ago
@aviramdj Fabrice Santoro has a two-handled racket at home.
I play with it and I am not sad at all...with this racket I won 600% of the matches I had won before with the traditional racket!
RobertoFranchin 1 year ago
@RobertoFranchin
Ok show me where you have seen such a thing .
i guess you know santoro in person, which i dubt . but could be .
This racquet might suit you and you might win 600% of your matches .
but it wont suit 99% of tennis players world wide .
it might though be suited to players who use backhand on both sides,
i would like to see monica seles try it .
though it will cost such a player in his/hers serve cause with this racquet there is no way to serve properly .
