@naminesoraluv I'm not sure Myra/Steve would have worked out, because (1) Steve would probably only marry her if Laura married someone else, and it would not be out of true love but more out of a fear of dying alone, (2) considering Myra had a (legitimate) fear of Steve leaving her, it would cause her to become overly demanding and possessive at times, to the point of stalking Steve, especially if he were to work on a project with another attractive woman who likes polka.

I would like to think Myra gets stuck with Steve's gangster cousin, OGD, after she tries to stop Steve and Laura's wedding and OGD tells Myra that if Steve doesn't want her, he'll take her.

And she grew and came to love him like he always wanted, she even started to get into the things he liked and was amazed how much she enjoyed being in his crazy wacky world. Laura liked him for who he was too, and even stood up for him on more than one occasion when someone had put him down. But later, she herself accepted all of him and wanted to marry him.
