Oh, the information "Come on next summer" is not true. I am from Czech Republic and I remember this game from my very young childhood (age 5 - 8). I saw next videos of "JSF" and I remember lots of games. JSF 1995 was the last year where there was Czech Republic team. (Sorry, my English is not so good)

Někde jsem četl, že do toho ČT musela dávat nějaké své peníze, a pak už nějak nechtěli, takže Češi se naposledy zúčastnili v roce 1995. Pak už tam nebyli a nedávala to ani televize.

Pokud jde o Pevnost Boyard, tak tu dávali na Nově; co si pamatuji, tak ji přestali vysílat v létě roku 1999, jak se Železný trhnul a změnilo se celé programové schéma. To zanikla spousta dalších pořadů. :-(

Na ČT dávali Boyard možná ze začátku 90. let, než vznikla Nova. Stejně tak tomu bylo třeba u Kačerů z Kačerova. Každopádně už od samých začátků vysílání Novy byla tahle soutěž (a ti kačeři stejně tak) na Nově.

This used to be one of my favourite shows. I used to see it everyday on TSI (Switzerland), was rather funny seeing teams from little villages in canton Ticino competing against teams of all Europe...hope to see it again :/

No return in 2008. JSF would be relaunched in summer 2007, but the project was arrested by EBU because it was too expansive.

I'm happy that also in Portugal there is nostalgia of these games.

EBU television committee seem to be interested only on Eurovision Song Contest, a event rich of bad taste, but very profitable in terms of money.

I disagree. Only because UK and Germany refused to take part again don't mean that JSF were worse in the 90s. There was a lot of creativity also in recent games (at least until 1996, with the rotation of the game site in Europe every week). As all Italian children, I loved to watch JSF in the summer nights of the 90s. A good example of cleaver TV entertainment.

I was actually being sarcastic. I loved watching JSF on France 2 or Rai Uno or ERT Int even through I could not understand an even word being said. It was one of the reasons in the mid 90s that I got a satellite dish pointed at 13 degrees east(Hotbird) but when there is no british team playing it is not the same. So in the absence of a GB team I would back the Greek team since the ident is close. Actually in the last grand final the final score for Greece was wrong by one point.

Yes, Greece should have been joint first place and the mistake in the score was never corrected(I recorded the show and made notes of the scores and Greece should have had 48 points and been joint winners with the Italy team. I emailed the EBU about the mistake in the scoring and according to them there was no mistake but I counted up the points from each game and Greece should have been joint winners with Italy. I am surprised the Greek team didn't complain.

The EBU can't do JSF if broadcasters are not willing to spend the money needed.

It costs a lot of money to stage JSF. That was one of the reasons why from 1996 to 1999 they went from each JSF in different country each week to being in one place for the whole season and it seemed the only country that was willing to spend the money in running it was Italy who staged the 1996, 1998 and 1999 seasons and Hungry in 1997 who staged the ten heats and Portugal the grand final.

when I was a small boy my village used to stop for watching the Jeux Sans Frontieres...and every children join to play like if we were in the real games. I am from Portugal and I wacht it on the summer vacations of mid 80´s to mid 90´s! I miss those days.
