I love Cheburashka too... NO matter what Stalin did or whatso ever, it is his problem, but the truth is that time people were not pragmatic. They were warm hearted. They had in their hearts love and humanity.

Its true, they were good men- secretive, but good, according to my mother. Actually, when they rescued me, it was just before the fall of the union in the late 80s.

They took us back to the island too, afterwards, and they were much more friendly- once again, according to my mother. I was only 1 and a half.

Yes ... I toured Moscow in 2003. And Cheburashka & Gena embodies the innocence of ALL children with the depths of love and friendship. sad that the creator of this stop motion animation Cheb , now in his late 80s does NOT get the recognition derserving him.
