Than you should focus and refer to Hamshen in Abhazia, not to the Hamshen in Turkey, nearly all Hamshen in Turkey love their country and vote mostly right wing parties and are patriots. Just like my friend here below. Being Turk does not mean being brainwashed or Turkified. People of Turkey, the Turks have multi-ethnic backgrounds, Hamshen is one of those. We are proud Turks and proud of our Hamshen roots, not Armenian. As easy as that.

Turks are so obsessed with labeling everyone with a "Turk" label. Some years ago Eastern Turkey (Historical Western Armenia) was inhabited with mountain Turks until the world has learned they are Kurds not "mountain Turks". How pathetic.

@Hamshenkami i am not a rasist, they can live with us of course but some armenians are making progapanda with using hamshens with showing all blacksea coast as armenian land and this kind of situations make people more nervous against armenians. yes hamshens came to hopa mountains nearly 200 years ago, and 20 - 30 years ago they settled to city center and sea coast, these are truth. Before these, only lazs were living in hopa, you can see from old village names. most of them in laz language.

@Hamshenkami what do you think about some fake armenian maps which include east blacksea and hopa too? as i know hopa's %70 is Laz, and at past 20 years ago this laz population was %90 in hopa center, hamshens were living at Kachkars. This is same for Rize hamshens too. And east blacksea region is historically belongs to Lazs's
