The reason the SLK55 won is because the SLR engine has more torque than the Enzo Ferrari, so it's going to be better in a straight line. No one realizes that the Enzo is a track car, where best acceleration possible and most torque possible isn't always what you're looking for. The Enzo has superior handling and minrange to top-end power, and really owns the track.

the engine was boosted to perform like a 722 engine and the SLK was upgraded with full carbon fiber.
but again in real life the enzo would still be faster than the LP670 or just as fast as the 722
