I visited Sydney back in 99 and it was old skool Jap car heaven. I must have looked a right weirdo taking pictures of all the old cars which were everywhere back then. Love the old Celicas, have a GT RA28 and it's gorgeous. I was amazed at how many types of old Jap cars are still on the road out there. Here in the UK most have rotted thanks to the rock salt in winter.

i think they wanted to sound off the blow off valves. in my opinion they drove responsibly. how may idiots on youtube have you seen doing top speed thinking that it will impress.
hey guys love the old celicas i got one at home and because of enginering disputes the biggest and reliable engine i can put in mine is a sr20det 2.2l with a t28 turbo.... not sure on prices but is that a way too go in a celica???
That brings memories flooding back of the time I had two of these back in the late 70's early 80's in the UK. An ST and a GT. I wish that I had never parted with them.
