Yep. Exactly like saying electric cars are "green" when you charge them with power coming from coal fire plants. Or saying the current system of ethanol production is "green" when they only destroy more land for crop production and the conversion process is dirtier than oil refinement at some plants.
It isn't necessarily about whether or not the milk is wasted. It's the energy used in converting milk to fabric. Energy tradeoffs are one of the biggest dirty secrets of some of the 'greener' methods of doing something- essentially, if something is 'greener' up front, but takes 5x the energy to produce than something else, because of all of the OTHER things involved in production, it isn't environmentally friendly.
@dancedanceyeah It's Eco-friendly when you consider that they use sub-standard milk that would otherwise have been thrown out. It's a pretty cool form of recycling. ^^
@TZodiacK Thanks for asking. Feed the hunger or save the animals. Does she know when dairy cows can't no longer produce milk they are killed for meat. Let's not play with food.
I can't see why anyone thinks this is "environmentally friendly". Just because it is made of milk does not mean it's good for the environment. People don't understand the mass amount of deforestation that has occurred simply to raise enough cattle to produce the milk we currently consume. On top of that, the volume of milk we currently have is only because of processes used to chemically force cows to produce 4-5x as much milk as they would naturally make. There's so much wrong with this.
Amazing! She's beautyful, talanted and most importantly she's very itellegent making fabric of milk! Besides her clothers are really pretty & cool. l'm gonna buy some of them ;)

@datzfast ahhhmmm, i think cheese cloth is made from cotton. it is just another name for a loosely woven cotton fabric. IT IS NOT MADE FROM CHEESE.

Milk is eco friendly? What makes milk? Cow, and what do hows mass produce? Methane ...
Still pretty awesome, though not eco friendly. :P
dancedanceeyeah 6 months ago
@dancedanceeyeah you produce methane as well, eco friendly... not so much. Plant a tree if your so concerned.
