i like your setup but if the wiring is semi permanent, meaning more then a few hours, may be worth investing in some cheap thin pvc and run some secured pvc to run the extension cord through
i also like the cord connection in the bucket thing, but it worries me at the same time due to heat generated or anything else i am not thinking of, any electrical guys know how good an idea that is?
@CrazyDave650 The only herbs I've tried growing are the cooking kind. My college days are gone, I don't think I'll be growing any sticky icky any time soon. I would be curious to know how it's workout for other poeple though...
@PonderaProject I tried to make a follow up video a few weeks ago, but the quality of the video was really poor for some reason so I didn't post it. To answer your question, it was, and still is doing suprisingly way better than I expected! I had to move the system to my parents house because I moved into an apartment. I will try to make a follow up video asap. In short, I took out the tomato plants, jalapenos plants are about 4 1/2 feet tall, and enough basil to eat everyday of the week.
I think with for everything it was around 65-80 bucks. It could probably be a little more or a little less depending on what your get and how creative you are.
Dude for my catfish I caught them at the park down the street from my house I live in Grand Priarie and I'm working on my aquaponic setup also the ones I caught were not big about 5-6 inches long on a small hook and hotdog wennie or bolonga
I don't know how much I how much I trust eating fish in the Dallas area. There are some funky stuff in our streams and rivers. Check out these forums backyardaquaponics and diyaquaponics. They are full of good forum post and plenty of local people actively making contributions.
Thank you for sharing this. I am not too good on You Tube, how can I find your first video setup for the aquaponics system? Thank you again. My email is Ladygrace10235@aol.com. Are you on Facebook?
