The Brits/Americans marketed as 'Luminal'.It was very addictive, but so are placebos. The first totally synthetic narcotic was Meperidine,'Demerol'/'Dummy Oil'.In 1943 or thereabouts, the Germans had their supplies of Morphine cut off, so needed a new poewrful analgesic. Where I lived you have to get them from the res where they are legal. I don't know if they grow anywhere but west. Opinion is don't eat one just because someone says it is, you might be getting a death cap if you do.
After consuming mushrooms, i found myself asking myself countless questions about the universe, however i wasn't able to answer most of them. The psilocybin altered, and i would go so far as to say RAISED my consciousness and my perception of "reality" and the universe. I 100% guarantee that anyone that takes these shrooms with an positive, eager, and open-minded thought process will be enlightened.
a suggestion: lay in a quiet area under the moon and stars, and converse with a friend.
@a1saucecool Sharing a mushroom trip with a friend is a very special experience, indeed! For years afterwards we end up talking about things that resulted from that day!
What makes you trippers think they are talking about magic mushrooms?Or as it is also called, psilocybin. It is never clear from the show that it's the same as what grows in a cow meadow. I never had insight into someones secret health problems while I was tripping on Mushrooms. It could be something different. There are many alkaloid mushrooms. Who knows what this particular one is. They called it "X". I think scientists would know if it was a cow shit shroom, or not. Eat a deathcap, and see!
Research the relationship between Albert Hofmann, Maria Sabina, R. Gordon Wasson and Huautla de Jimenez to understand the earliest known exposure of psilocybian mushrooms to the world of science.
@arklat There are two main types of mushroom that get you high. The first is what AmosNomore is talking about, which contain psilocin and psilocybin, these are illegal and the first to be discovered by the west. They are spread all over the world and don't occur just in "cow meadows".
The second kind are the amanitas, which contain ibotenic acid and muscimol as they're main psychoactive chemicals, ibotenic acid is what causes nausea and is neutralized by drying. There are many dangerous amanitas
@arklat Yeah, Maria Sabina was a mushroom shaman, who used Psilocybes. The other guys they mentioned were big in the psychedelic community too. They're talking about Psilocybin mushrooms here, beyond a doubt.
@arklat I've lived in Mexico for 9 years. I've eaten Sacred Mushrooms in the Mountains with Maria Sabina's daughter. I've also eaten them in Florida fresh picked by me, and also in Amsterdam. The Mushrooms in this video are Psilocybin mushrooms called teónanácatl, teotlaquilnanácatl, xochinanácatl depending on the dialect spoken by the indigenous tribes of Mexico.
@arklat My local mushrooms dont come from cow dung. Subaeruginosa, a wood fruiting strain. Check it out. P.S, maybe your focus of attention was not on, or anywhere near the thought of healing or diagnosis. I'm just rambling. You make a fair point though, there has been considerable debate regarding the so called 'food of the gods', ie. Amanita etc.
P.P.S. Cheers AmosNomore for the gem of an upload.
@arklat of course it is. Psycho active chemicals, whatever you want to call it. This footage is an amazing find. It is refreshing to see this subject covered before propaganda and labels from the fallout of a cultural revolution making almost impossible to intelligently address the subject. God bless the "nerd" scientists. When I was in Oaxaca in the 70's, they were not so secretly renowned for their magic mushrooms (now THERE'S an omelet!). The Huichol art is clearly representative of
@arklat The Huichol art is clearly representative of visions and impressions of reality while under the influence of the magic mushrooms. There is a huge body of reference material on the subject. Before you post such opinionated statements, labeling others as "trippers", try doing some research. So sad that critical thinking is not at a premium these days. I love the open-mindedness that is evident in this footage. It is heartening.
@arklat There are several hundred psilocybes known today, that grow all over the world not just on cow dung, but other herbavores dung as well as various types of wood mulch and grasses. This video is from a time when consuming psilocybes was first being introduced to this culture, Scientists didn't know anything about the mushroom. I could see psilocybin producing effects similar to everything described. Definately Extra Sensory Perception
@arklat We know for a fact they are from the Genus Psilocybe. This was a earth shaking discovery which ended in the classification of over 180 species of Psilocybe. The ones in this video are not "cow shit mushrooms"(you mean Ps. cubensis) more than likely. The natives of mexico regarded Ps. cubensis as an inferior species of mushroom and didn't use it. These are likely Ps.zapotecorum or Ps. caerulescens.
the mushroom expierence is quite an experience. Very self rewarding, you can lern so much about yourself and your reality. You can feel so close to nature and have such and understanding and peaceful way of life. Really eye opening...litterally lol
And the euphoria, I felt like the universe was whispering its secrets to me and they were so beautiful I kept laughing about it. We were trying experiments with play cards, and we would throw them out, close our eyes and try see what they were, it's hard to know if i was just lucky but at the time it felt like the patterns in my head were lining up with reality. If anyone has any other questions about what happened feel free to message me.
@Malquey - beautifully put. I loved seeing these scientists honestly describing their experiences without the mandatory negativity that seems to be the unspoken rule of the day.Thank you.
Mandelbrot sets, fractals, talking to myself, falling through vortexes. Every time I closed my eyes I would kind of fall into another dimension, and it really looks like those fractal animations, but far more detailed, it's like the world is glass and it shatters, and you can move between realms through the cracks. I was with a friend, and we like in synchronicity, telepathy, we were speaking to each other in concert, like we were polarized.
All my friends who i have asked, and people I have talked to online always talk about how it was such a profound experience that stays with them ever since they have taken it. I might be experiencing it soon. I will Update here with my experience if anyone is interested.
Thanks for the link, I was in the process of watching it when you replied. I'm gathering alot of good suggestions to facilitate the journey. Anything else I should think about?
@Malquey Any deep questions that you have any question meditate for a while before ingesting to get it in your head. Then during ask these questions. You can learn so much from just thinking with a little help from an exsistence so invisible to most, yet there if you only listen.
nice video... anyone able to confirm the authenticity of the content? sounds amazing... btw, wats up with ppl on "religious" magic mushroom.. and having "spritual" link ... and stuff.... doesnt any take mushroom just to get high anymore??
I recomend to you the book "plants of the gods" written by Harvard scholar Richard Evans-Schultes and swiss farmacist Albert Hoffmann. The aztecs used the mushrooms and called them "the flesh of god".
To me, this is an historic document, which somehow fell into the public domain. Such a program, even a few years later, would have been looked upon as something akin to pornography. I am not judging this, one way or the other, but it is extremely interesting. I had thought "One Step Beyond" was merely a progenitor of "The Twilight Zone", or an early "In Search Of...". I had no idea that they ever ingested, or even pretended to ingest psychedelics, in any form. Thanks for adding this.
You might find it efficacious to confront your fear of entheogens and ditch your bigotry toward mushrooms. They can teach you VASTLY more than you could ever hope to learn by yourself. Moreover, they can teach what mere humans can not. The Mushroom Mind is way older and larger than our human minds or than our Collective (Un)Consciousness, and it has very deep access to our Collective Mind.
Go and acquire some real *dangerous knowledge* - actual experiential entheogenic knowledge.
taken too many over the years, but they have given me the insight not to eat animals which is always bad for their bodies, not to drink i dont have to be the one drinking for it to be bad for my body, not to crave after toys and shit that i see everybody around me "needing" so i would say that mushrooms are a good drug, but if you have problems being an individual and need to conform to the consumerist society we are supposedly forced to live in, then yes don't take mushrooms.
Anyway, if ways such as yours actually worked, they would be illegal.
That is the sin qua non (so to speak) of entheogens, such as the Sacred Mushrooms. The fact that they produce such powerful experiences SCARES people; so people, like yourself, prefer to retreat to other vastly less potent and far less reliable means to seek their spiritual awakening.
The Mushrooms aren't for everyone. They must be earned. They require fortitude and courgage. Most do not possess such traits.
but know where you come from but here they are well illegal, as for fortitude and courage hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha i haven't laughed so much since my last trip, sound a bit huxley mate a bit elitist for my liking, if the prob is toxicity, if you have not been through brain washing, then go on take them. there is probably more contaminants on an apple skin that will harm body and soul, only people i have encountered who have had problems on mushrooms have been ex forces too brainwashed!
utter drivel, maybe you are too young and need a little more maturity before you go on abusing drugs, sounds like binge drinking you are describing all that religious shit stay off the holy wine, u are only meant to sip that too
You do drugs every day, whether you like it or not, Mr. HolierThanThouBS. DMT (N-N-DMT) is produced by both your brain and your lungs. And DMT is a *very* close chemical relative to psilocybin, of which is the active compound in many magick mushrooms.
You have a complete lack of "dangerous knowledge" for someone with the name of danger0usknowledge.
So verythime you sit on your Boddhavista wanna-be arse and meditate or do kundaline, you are just trying to manipulate your blood/dmt. HA!
To a non-runner, jogging is a form of overstimulating the muscles. To a non-reader, books overstimulate the eyes (and brain). So what you are saying is that you keep as near to neurological baseline as possible. Nothing ventured, nothing gained type of risk management philosophy, eh? So how did you experience DMT without reaching into the magick forst? Did you get it from a magick laboratory in pure crystaline form? Anyway, why are you so frightened about altering your consciousness?
Then it is a fair bet that what you experienced was pale in comparison to a full blown DMT experience, or a psilocybin mushroom journey. Again, why are you so frightened by the notion of radically altering your consciousness via NATURAL means (and few things in nature are more natural than eating a mushroom. They have arguably been existing in nature longer than we mostly hairless 46 chromosome monkeys have)?
okay but how are mushrooms a drug? They come right out of the earth with no tampering from man. Now a true DRUG is METH, that is a drug. When have you ever heard of someone going to rehab because of mushroom withdrawals?
thanks for the provocation / stimulation - for once on youtube i can actually respect the comments people are making! this is a topic that should be explored without the condemnation of authority. I read about some trials into therapeutic use of mdma (a different type of experience, of course) for trauma victims and it took the researchers about ten years to get permission, and only in the most carefully regulated circumstances. How can you determine the usefulness of a substance if you ban it?!

Fascinating....and,if I remember correctly, host JOHN NEWLAND (R.I.P.) himself got into the act... Dr. Puharich is famed for discovering PETER HURKOS...Puharich also made an appearance on a "Perry Mason" show! A great scientist who's no longer with us,and was criticized by some...who didn't understand him. I personally would NEVER allow mind-altering drugs. No matter how spiratually advanced one is,they always harm the body! Better to get "high" on LIFE ITSELF.
The Mushrooms are alive, and are deeply connected to "life itself."
Perhaps you may be advanced enough to employ them yourself, given another few lifetimes, due to your indoctrination (and years of pure disinformation) regarding psilocybin mushrooms.
Whoever told you that magick mushrooms were toxic for the human body was suffering from a severe case of cranium up rectum syndrome.
The mushrooms solidly produce the religious experience that religions fail to deliver.
And you are entitled to remain as ignorant as you wish, and thus you hall do - and be, until you taste deeply of the Sacred Mushrooms and actually gleen a firsthand comprehension why they are considered sacred, and magickal.
So go ahead, keep refusing what the Divine Universe is offering you. Your path is dubious and may produce nothing. The Mushrooms are inexorable, true evolutionary catalysts - they always produce results - and can be counted upon without fail.
couple of points do u mean u would never take them, which is fine and up to you. However i do take issue with the always harm the body shite, i also don't even know what you mean get "high" on life what are you up to hyperventilating cos the only way i know to get high is smoking the herb. life is not a drug it just happens whether you like it or not. see how high you feel when you are burying your best mate, watching your government going to war over oil, going down your local city, see tramps?
Wow a year ago for this comment, but I couldn't resist. All drugs harm the body isn't even worth getting into such a false statement. But apparently you thing mushrooms are drugs and that is interesting. A mushroom grows from the earth and we eat them we don't smoke them. Cigarettes form tobbacco come from the earth also, but people smoke them and as a result millions of people die from the smoke. Cigs are legal and mushrooms are not. Think about it.
It's both heartening and sad to hear these ultra-straight people give their testimony. It highlights how easily government propaganda can discourage people from looking deeper, which is inherently difficult--and let's face it most people don't really want to go there. The government saying No to these things provides an excuse the average person can respect. Our culture is so off balance we should be demanding more research in this field--not suppressing it. Thanks for posting this!
Shroctopus: I agree, but I know and you know mushrooms are not for everybody. Many people need to do a lot more living in the banal world, before they can appreciate something as expansive as this. Let's not ruin the punchline for the those folks. Everyone wakes up at different speeds and in different ways. This was just the easiest way for me to wake up.
redjaguar2, (Liked your previous post better.) For one to claim that another is not "ready" is just drug prohibition in disguise, no matter the purported spiritual basis. I think Shroctopus's point was how prohibition itself puts an artificial negative atmosphere on the whole field -- AND negatively affects the subjective experience, thereby mimicking unreadiness. It's all about set and setting, and nothing is worse for that than drug prohibition. END ALL DRUG PROHIBITION IMMEDIATELY!
zhulu: You misunderstood me. I don't believe it is the government's role (or anyone else's) to make these pivotal decisions for us. Immature people of all ages get themselves into deep water, and drown--and that gives everyone a bad name. Those are the people who have horrible trips, (or just hear about bad trips), and rush out to shut down the show for everyone. I'm just saying Be safe, be wise, be discreet, and be ready to make the changes demanded by the answers you recieve.
It is the dose that makes the poison. Too many shroomers are overdosing to create a beyond stone experience/trip. For most a gram to a gram and a half is a good plenty. if one does over due it, they usually vomit them up, our built in safety mech. although it should never even come to that point.
Peyote catus is the home of the spirit GOD "Mescalito". You have to eat the peyote 'buttons' or brew a 'tea'. Either way you will get a 'smidge queazy...smidge...what an UNDERSTATEMENT!!! Mushrooms can be eaten, but you have to like a strong flavored mushroom. They can be dried and 'gel capsulated' for easier intake.Shrooms are more for open psychic pathways of the mind and peyote is more for an inner spirtual journey and realization of multiple realities. You also eventually get there w/shrooms
there talking about the paote mushrooms that will make you halucinate. i had it in my hands and nothin mabe i got lucky i didn't try i'm not sure how i woud have react to this.
Thank you so much for this! I've been collecting videos on the truth of psychedelics and the gov/monetary system, check out my channel! :)

AmosNomore 1 year ago 11
What makes you conclude they were eating anything other than psilocybin? It's not very likely they were using any other mushroom is it?
StoneFredFlint 1 year ago
@arklat There are two main types of mushroom that get you high. The first is what AmosNomore is talking about, which contain psilocin and psilocybin, these are illegal and the first to be discovered by the west. They are spread all over the world and don't occur just in "cow meadows".
The second kind are the amanitas, which contain ibotenic acid and muscimol as they're main psychoactive chemicals, ibotenic acid is what causes nausea and is neutralized by drying. There are many dangerous amanitas

@arklat lmfao you are dumb

@arklat Yeah, Maria Sabina was a mushroom shaman, who used Psilocybes. The other guys they mentioned were big in the psychedelic community too. They're talking about Psilocybin mushrooms here, beyond a doubt.

@arklat
It may have not been the mushrooms as such, yet the shaman might have be able to see auras and diagnose health problems?
sMaktAUS 1 year ago
@arklat I've lived in Mexico for 9 years. I've eaten Sacred Mushrooms in the Mountains with Maria Sabina's daughter. I've also eaten them in Florida fresh picked by me, and also in Amsterdam. The Mushrooms in this video are Psilocybin mushrooms called teónanácatl, teotlaquilnanácatl, xochinanácatl depending on the dialect spoken by the indigenous tribes of Mexico.
AquarianDerek 1 year ago

The Huichol art is clearly representative of
7Millersshadow 1 year ago
@arklat The Huichol art is clearly representative of visions and impressions of reality while under the influence of the magic mushrooms. There is a huge body of reference material on the subject. Before you post such opinionated statements, labeling others as "trippers", try doing some research. So sad that critical thinking is not at a premium these days. I love the open-mindedness that is evident in this footage. It is heartening.

@arklat There's 100's of species, they don't need to grow in cow shit. I've seen a picture of someone who grew mushrooms out of a bible.
parsleysprigs 1 year ago
@arklat There are several hundred psilocybes known today, that grow all over the world not just on cow dung, but other herbavores dung as well as various types of wood mulch and grasses. This video is from a time when consuming psilocybes was first being introduced to this culture, Scientists didn't know anything about the mushroom. I could see psilocybin producing effects similar to everything described. Definately Extra Sensory Perception
InKa4484 9 months ago
@arklat We know for a fact they are from the Genus Psilocybe. This was a earth shaking discovery which ended in the classification of over 180 species of Psilocybe. The ones in this video are not "cow shit mushrooms"(you mean Ps. cubensis) more than likely. The natives of mexico regarded Ps. cubensis as an inferior species of mushroom and didn't use it. These are likely Ps.zapotecorum or Ps. caerulescens.

Go and acquire some real *dangerous knowledge* - actual experiential entheogenic knowledge.

taken too many over the years, but they have given me the insight not to eat animals which is always bad for their bodies, not to drink i dont have to be the one drinking for it to be bad for my body, not to crave after toys and shit that i see everybody around me "needing" so i would say that mushrooms are a good drug, but if you have problems being an individual and need to conform to the consumerist society we are supposedly forced to live in, then yes don't take mushrooms.
scottypaul266 3 years ago
Anyway, if ways such as yours actually worked, they would be illegal.
That is the sin qua non (so to speak) of entheogens, such as the Sacred Mushrooms. The fact that they produce such powerful experiences SCARES people; so people, like yourself, prefer to retreat to other vastly less potent and far less reliable means to seek their spiritual awakening.
The Mushrooms aren't for everyone. They must be earned. They require fortitude and courgage. Most do not possess such traits.
Do you?
Gnothean 3 years ago
but know where you come from but here they are well illegal, as for fortitude and courage hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha i haven't laughed so much since my last trip, sound a bit huxley mate a bit elitist for my liking, if the prob is toxicity, if you have not been through brain washing, then go on take them. there is probably more contaminants on an apple skin that will harm body and soul, only people i have encountered who have had problems on mushrooms have been ex forces too brainwashed!

HA!
Gnothean 3 years ago 3
I have experienced DMT w/o taking anything
from the magick forest. I didn't
OVERSTIMULATE my nervous system
and I don't think about, talk about,
drone monotone about a self provoked
trance. I don't do *kundalineini* either.)
danger0usknowledge 3 years ago
To a non-runner, jogging is a form of overstimulating the muscles. To a non-reader, books overstimulate the eyes (and brain). So what you are saying is that you keep as near to neurological baseline as possible. Nothing ventured, nothing gained type of risk management philosophy, eh? So how did you experience DMT without reaching into the magick forst? Did you get it from a magick laboratory in pure crystaline form? Anyway, why are you so frightened about altering your consciousness?
Gnothean 3 years ago 4
I didn't use the *sacred natural forest*
or my secret drug lab. When the "duh"
happened it came from ME.
danger0usknowledge 3 years ago
Then it is a fair bet that what you experienced was pale in comparison to a full blown DMT experience, or a psilocybin mushroom journey. Again, why are you so frightened by the notion of radically altering your consciousness via NATURAL means (and few things in nature are more natural than eating a mushroom. They have arguably been existing in nature longer than we mostly hairless 46 chromosome monkeys have)?
Gnothean 3 years ago 3
okay but how are mushrooms a drug? They come right out of the earth with no tampering from man. Now a true DRUG is METH, that is a drug. When have you ever heard of someone going to rehab because of mushroom withdrawals?
ladivadivala 2 years ago 2
The chems in Mushrooms & DMT seem to cause ppl to drone monotone as in "Oh WOW" & the "like wow". I'm not a big crusader over it until I hear ppl

thanks for the provocation / stimulation - for once on youtube i can actually respect the comments people are making! this is a topic that should be explored without the condemnation of authority. I read about some trials into therapeutic use of mdma (a different type of experience, of course) for trauma victims and it took the researchers about ten years to get permission, and only in the most carefully regulated circumstances. How can you determine the usefulness of a substance if you ban it?!

RonaldVaughan 3 years ago
And you are entitled to remain as ignorant as you wish, and thus you hall do - and be, until you taste deeply of the Sacred Mushrooms and actually gleen a firsthand comprehension why they are considered sacred, and magickal.
So go ahead, keep refusing what the Divine Universe is offering you. Your path is dubious and may produce nothing. The Mushrooms are inexorable, true evolutionary catalysts - they always produce results - and can be counted upon without fail.
Gnothean 3 years ago
couple of points do u mean u would never take them, which is fine and up to you. However i do take issue with the always harm the body shite, i also don't even know what you mean get "high" on life what are you up to hyperventilating cos the only way i know to get high is smoking the herb. life is not a drug it just happens whether you like it or not. see how high you feel when you are burying your best mate, watching your government going to war over oil, going down your local city, see tramps?
scottypaul266 3 years ago

This was just the easiest way for me to wake up.
redjaguar2 3 years ago
redjaguar2, (Liked your previous post better.) For one to claim that another is not "ready" is just drug prohibition in disguise, no matter the purported spiritual basis.

It is the dose that makes the poison. Too many shroomers are overdosing to create a beyond stone experience/trip. For most a gram to a gram and a half is a good plenty. if one does over due it, they usually vomit them up, our built in safety mech. although it should never even come to that point.
