It was interesting to hear this recording (though it seems to be recorded rather too closely), particularly as it is played on such an organ. It works. I am playing the piece in a short concert in my home town (Eindhoven, The Netherlands) at the end of the month which is why I was 'looking around' for other interpretations. You know the music well.
hi, this is one of my favs! i was simply amazed to read that this is only a 9- stop organ! it sounds much bigger! nice rendering!
it seems like ur a perfectionist, so just checking if u didn't mis-read here: at 0:33 min u have 3 melody notes, e"-f"-g" and the first 2 sound like a triplet, which they're not, if i'm correct, and at 2:23, u have a c" sharp in the melody but i think it's supposed to be a c" natural. for the rest no comments. wish i was as perfect in my playing as u. ;)
Thank you for posting. I love this piece. I had played it sometimes at Concerts. At last at a Concert for Haiti last januar. At 2006 i had played it at a examination.
Thanks, Ray. I first heard this piece recently on a CD by Feike Asma. The sheet music is out of print, so I got a copy through interlibrary loan. I'm glad to know you liked it.
