  • The graphics in this are pretty nice, anyone know who did them?

  • Ads are not the answer. Removing the filthy criminal and drug element out of the area is. More arrests and bus tickets would be much more helpful than digital advertisements. Fat chance of that happening anytime soon with the morons currently running the city

  • this ad is so slimy.

  • Um, trebledmind. If we let these billboards go up on Market Street, we won't be able to take them down without paying the owners of the billboards lots of money. It's called the 'takings clause' of the 5th Amendment in the U.S. Constitution. It's not like we can just try this and if it doesn't work, we try something else. If the billboards go up, we'll be stuck with them.

  • Misscolleen1 is right. How are we beautifying market street by putting up unregulated advertisements, digital displays and projections - oh, and for the children no less. Ha. What a joke.

  • Oh please...this ad shows what COULD happen if we aren't careful. voters aren't stupid and know they aren't going to put billboards on the GG Bridge next year but who's to say someone won't try it in the future? Corporate America tries to advertise everywhere and frankly I'm sick and tired of it. I thought the city was taking steps to beautify Market Street, not add to it's many problems. When do we say enough is enough? Let's look for positive ways to improve our city!

  • As if mid-Market (4th-to-8th) could possibly be called "beautiful." Anything that works to improve the livability and appearance of that stretch of Market is fine by me. And if it doesn't work (which is pretty much what I expect), we can try something else.

  • Oh please.

  • Highly effective ad. Stop the rampant proliferation of visual pollution for the profit of the few. Keep our city beautiful.

  • Ha -- 1) This isn't coming from corporations -- and 2) This doesn't cover billboards on anything mentioned in the video -- not a single location would be allowed.

This sort of ad exploits San Francisco voters and danages the body politick.

  • Awesome! I love this ad! I'm glad people are fighting against this. I can't believe that corporations actually believe we're going to vote for their measure. It's totally f!#ked up.
