@chrishaimbaugh you can only find melon seeds in abandoned mineshaft chest, but pumpkins grow randomly around, you just have to look for them. when you find a pumpkin place in a crafting table to get the seed out of it.

other question i made a new farm on a ice map and the water turns to ice what can i do ?

@Miljonimees you could either place some torches next to the water (keeps the water visible and nice) or you could cover the water with any block type you like (I prefer slabs), and it should stop it from freezing.

@gunner23178 Assuming you have 1.9pre4, you can get them by putting a pumpkin in the crafting area as demonstrated in the video. Im not sure which release it was implimented but I have 1.9pre4 and you are capable of doing it.
