If you own a Mac, there is a free program off of Apple downloads called FrameByFrame. It is a simple program but features onion skin, frame rate, and photo imports. It doesn't have sound though...

You can do it if you use the chroma key (blue screen) effect. Did you get the version 2.0 or the original? 2.0 is much better than the original.

Construction paper should work but my computer sucks.

There is a update or patch for this product, which you can download for free if you'd already bought the product. Auto-capture (set a time (seconds) to capture) enables you to just move figures, and not bother with computer going back and forth while capturing. I think this saves time and better than before. The pach also improved the stability with importing picture files.

Your computer has be able to recognize your digital camera as a video input device (NOT as an external drive). If you install the driver and/or software that came with your digital camera, your computer probably will recognize your digital camera as a video input device. If you don't have the driver, you can take pictures with your digital camera and import them to the storyboard.

In that case, you may want to take pictures separately and import them into PC. The software says that it can import picture files.
