Ya, I'm using the Image Mixer software, and txfring to pc without any editing. The FS100 does WAY better when it has an ample amount of light to work with. Not so great as an indoor cam. Anywho...
Keep in mind youtube is a standard 4:3 ratio window playing a 16:9 or 16:10 file so there should always be the "letter boxes" on the top and bottom of the movie if you did record in wide format. If you were to record in standard format, when you uploaded to youtube it would fill the entire screen. HTH
Well, 1st I have the camera set to wide. 2nd I use the crappy software that came with the camera to txfr the video from camera to pc. I think in that step it asks about ratio and I always have it set to wide.

Hey! This is the highest quality I've seen with the Canon FS100 on youtube so far! Is it better to upload from Image Mixer?

Hey
I've got the Canon FS100 and would like to enquire about the setting(s) etc. that made the widescreen so... wide. It's very cool.
I have the Canon FS100 set to XP Mode (Highest Quality, I think).
Thanks,
Jack
