  • And may I find this device at Walmart?! I want one! ;D

    It's fantastic btw! ;)

  • I really got a lot out of this, explained in a really imaginative way Thanks.

  • so much shopped

  • The video's nice, with decent polish. But it's seldom clear what's being illustrated. I wish it would show a more obvious fidelity to the field lines in the settings shown. Rather than "that's cute, the field lines curve toward the steel table" one rather gets a message of "Magnetism is hubris! See how lightning makes it stronger! We must send it back to Science and Outer Space!"

  • 3d animation and poor quality waste of time

  • No.. It's not real. It's a 3D animation, overlaying real (terrible) audio and video footage.

  • Is this for real?

  • really cool video

  • Awesome video, medicore quality.

  • Is there anywhere I could see a high quality movie. The youtube is a blocky and jittery.

    Great vid... thanks

  • The noise is called 'Dawn Chorus'. It's not mic interference.. Nice video ;)

  • Most of it's lightning strikes, near and far. The Dawn Chorus is only lightly featured

  • goto vimeo, movie id is 1166968

  • This would be better if it wasn't so choppy

  • Nice vid, but what the hell is up with the audio?

  • is this animation or is it real ?

  • Animation.

  • phew!thanks I was so puzzled XD

  • real

  • They are assuming that observations of the corona are observations of magnetic fields? Don't the charged particles distort the magnetic field though? Sort of a Jacobs ladder as applied to all magnetic fields?

  • Awesome film, I really enjoyed it. I love the effects.

  • The video is really choppy for me....is this just because of YT maintenance?

  • It's smooth here.

  • go Bears!

  • Interesting animation, but I would think someone at UC Berkeley could clean up the mic noise? That's relatively simple by comparison.

  • That's not mic noise, it's the "sound" of the magnetic fields...

  • Ooops...my mistake then, distracted by that.

  • It's supposed to look like that... It's a sorta retro effect. It's also to portray the effect that the magnetic fields would be having on the film... It's art!

  • interesting vid but the amateur mic work really makes this vid more annoying than anything else, the incessant clicking and intereference on the mic is awful, plus if they do plan to make another one of these videos, either make it subtitles or get a diff speaker, the voice in this video sounds like some old nagging granny who cant control her bowels.

  • That's the sound of whatever is generating the magnetic field visuals, moron.

  • annoying sound!

  • This is awesome. Is it real? Where can I buy the desk things? I would like some to put on my desk. That would be so cool!

  • molto interessante

  • Go see this exhibit at the Hirschorn!!!! It's awesome!

  • laggy

  • que carajo es todo eso, se ve tan raro

  • 幻想的な映像です・・・。硝子の中で赤・黒ボール?がはじける感じが素敵。

    What is "P"?

  • like music note's

A B C which you would play on a pilon

each filed in mass. has a exstended draw point

    A to Z

    converting and spilting the power

in each fild you can easy control the mass

  • you invert the portons

    into a string line

so it candences into a filed

which will crouse a feed back loop

controling the sharp or the fild around a odject with a high dencetie, filed

you can invert the strings into dence filds

    with conbine power

  • Wild...

  • im not exactly sure about what it was i just watched, but it seemed pretty cool

  • wow thank you for setting me straight, and for that part thank you for going to both videos and setting those people straight. you rock! thumbs up for you!

  • I MAY BE A HOT CHICK BUT I SURE DO LOVE SCIENCE!! hehe] xoxo

  • You fuckin' idiots! Nobody said that the magentic fields you see in the video are real(magnetic fields are invisible, you can't see them). This video was made by scientists usign computer-generated imagery to give people an idea how a magnetic field looks and functions. The world is full of stupid people that just don't GET IT!

  • The very first words out of the speaker on the video state that the fields are invisible. Replay it and listen to it yourself.

  • So what the fuck did i just say? I said the same thing. I was refering to the morons that write stupid comments, saying that the video is fake. The video was not meant to fool anyone, it's purpose was to show people, using computer-generated imagery, how a magnetic fields looks and functions, because magnetic fields are not visible, you can NOT see them.

  • stupid computer animations, completely cartoonish representation showing something almost but not quite completely unlike a natural magnetic field

  • that's way neato- love!!

  • Sigh... judging by the responses here I must say I am a bit concerned about the future of the human species. One can only hope that natural selection takes care of the "problems".

In short, READ THE DESCRIPTION and try to use common sense.

  • how can the video be so good, and the audio so bad at the ame time?

  • video and audio are difernt things. if the magnetic feild was strong enough it would mess up the audio first then the video.

idk... im not much of a scientist...i only get c's in science...

  • I wish people would edit out random lens cap noise from their videos haha

  • im not sure some of the people watching understand what they're seeing. These scientist aren't saying that you can see the magnetic fields with your eyes, they are describing how they work and with cgi are showing you what the "Might" look like

  • Oh, I see.

I actually thought the whole NASA discoveries on the magnetic fields thing was just a gimmick for an independant film or something.

    Hehehe, silly me.

  • WOW!! Beautiful video work!! Back and to the left!!!!

  • aammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm what was that???????????????????????????

  • Listen explanation, and read info

  • Less questionable and more important is finding Jason Edmond. Help by searching "find jason edmond" on the internet. Anyone can help.

  • Cool shiz.

  • what are they using to make the fields visible?

  • cgi

  • they used CGI you moron. Those are not real magnetic fields you see there, they are just a visual representetion of what a magnetic field might look like, if you could see it.

  • i would say that the stuff at the beginning of the video was real, the shit with the different color field lines....total bullshit, can't do that in an open system as such in the video....the northern lights occur because of particles from the sun smashing into particles in constant motion between the earth's N and S poles....

    interesting video tho....

  • so fake

  • i dont want to sound like a jerk

    but this is obviously fake

    its still fun to watch

  • idk

  • i dunno but I WANT IT!

  • WHOA!!!!

what happens if you touch it?

  • that is so awesome! lOl

i wonder how they made it

  • This is definitely a fictional documentary. The magnetic fields are all CGI to better explain the point they're trying to get across.

  • That is one of the neatest things I've watched in a long time - thank you! You've created kind of an eerie effect that is oddly lifelike and fits the subject matter. Will be thinking about this for days. How 'bout a fictional short based on this concept - the secret life of magnetics...

  • they gonna get youu!

    O_o

  • LOL!!

  • totally computer made but very accurate

  • not accurate at all

  • actually, it is accurate.

try studying auroras for 3 years and then we'll talk

  • lol that wuld be on the news n shit if it was real

  • your just ignorant, sorry.

  • i get the message but the lights that represent the fields creep me out.

  • COOL DUDE/

  • wow amazing!!!!!!!

  • this is computre animatins... right?

  • yes they are, but with different eyes you could see them. Some people believe birds can navigate by magnetic fields, means they can see this :)

  • cool

  • i cant help thinking about

what would happen if i stuck

    my hand in hair

  • im right there with ya

  • "I hate mayonnaise," said Luke, while Mikey declared that he just wanted plain chicken on his.

  • Very interesting! This sounds just like the Aurora Borealis/Australis. That is pretty much the Earth's magnetic feild in color.

  • This is such bullshit

  • morons. not fake. this is actually pretty cool. they are showing you what is happening in magnetic fields. Think Earth. A giant magnetic field.

  • المقطع حلو

  • fake

  • quality sucks...

    need to be reorganized cuz

i didnt even understand the purpose...

all i got out of this is that

"they are all over the place and they curve"

its even more confusing trying to

perceive those lines as real or animated..

  • FAKEEE

  • Lol! this isnt real, its not supposed to be. The lines and stuff are trying to show what the people are saying...

  • i cant fullly understand meaning of this video...

  • Totally retarded!! I shut it off in 30 seconds. Pure shit! That cunt sucks!! She reminds me of my sister.

  • Wild, this excites the imagination.

  • that is so fake

  • are the lines visible by the human eye or is there a sensor adding the lines to the camera image

  • thats cool real or not.

  • shit lagg.. and stupid hoe with mic eating it or something..

  • saw this on Vimeo! This is awesome! Thanks for uploading this up here.

  • just me or is this video laggy?

  • quite

  • yeah it looks awful. Great video, terrible quality.

  • Barack JigBama

  • eh??

  • so fake.

even if there was a way to make them visable, the sound is a dead giveaway that it's a fake.

  • Terribly wrong, but cool visual effects...

  • omg....wtf

  • what the hell is up with the sound on this......i couldn't concentrate on anything....

  • SO NOT REAL

  • Do yourself a favor...and laugh!

    Check out our channel!

    -DustiNo23co

  • this is just cg and fake... it's all stupid

  • popcorns at 1:48.

PS: ...do really people have anything to do than these fakes?

  • the girl in the thumbnail is well buff

  • This video is fake and is very wrong, it only confuses kids of what magnetic fields actually like.

  • Magnetic fields are solenoids. They can't be open lines. Those fake lines are wrong to be opened!

  • you cant see anyway..

you can see what happen with the powder

  • sorry, thats fake

  • @ starstealer1195,

    no shit.. :P

  • lol we arnt stupid

  • Check out the most epic rap on youtube!!! its on my channel, Arsha even favrioted!!!

  • I AM TRIPPIN OUT MAN

  • This is a theorie right? You cannot see magnetic fields unless you have some metal powder ^^

  • fake

  • the visuals don't make sense.

  • why does this video have 5 stars?

  • Bogus horseshit!!!!

  • woopdy fuckin' doo.

    lets have a party

  • ...

  • Cracky sounds

  • it is invented is not real

  • Interesting

  • cool, i give this video credit

  • it would be cool if we could see it like that...but i would want to see Morphic Fields

  • every second a picture?

A video or just a few pictures

  • fuck off!!!

  • Word...this affect will be in movies soon.

  • i dont know why people keep saying it's "fake"

no shit. she says at the beginning that the waves are invisible. this is just an illustration

  • this shits fake!

  • zappy

  • What am I looking at? Is this all just made up?

  • :42; "The description scientists often use is 'hairy balls'." HA!

  • Wow what a great illustration. As a physics major, it is a lot of fun (after belief is suspended!).

  • This is really cool, how can I see this in person?

  • cool
