  • Not stopping at the stop signs? Good way to smash up your fire truck....

  • @del0griffith lol we never stop, not at stop signs and not at red lights: most people pull over and cross traffic stops before they can actually see us, and the be blast through red lights and intersection with hardly slowing down, and still driving safe: Except from some scratches as we parked one of our trucks on scene, we didn't had an accident for at least 5 years

  • how did yall get outr of the drivway ?

  • how about that stop sign,

  • @SirLuciferJames

I was thiking the same thing...

  • When giving an order to do a forward lay ( lay in ) give it to one person directly, not an option as to who the one will be.

  • I'm 13 years old and when a grow a want to be a firefighter and drive a big fire truck!

  • Very good video ...

Here in Chile not so with preference to

Fire trucks to and always fight with

Hopefully drivers in Chile was the same as Aya

put aside when they see an emergency vehicle ..

Greetings from Santiago de Chile ..!!!

  • It makes me happy seeing people pull over - especially ones in the opposite lane.

  • Nice video, Im from Sauk Prairie

  • this was shot a day b4 my birthday.

  • on wisconsin

  • do u work for the fd?

  • why not park right in the grass where the guy was standing??

  • @rex09able Its better to be parked on solid ground such as a road, parking lot, or in this case the driveway. If they tried parking in the grass, it could be to soft for the heavy truck, or while they are parked there pumping, the water could soften up the ground and then you have another problem to deal with. We had this happen to us when we were doing a training burn and it wouldnt have been a good thing had it happened during an actual emergency.

  • @sfdff39 Oh we have had that problem to but you have to what you have to do. if that means getting the trucks muddy so be it. haha

  • its awesome how every1 gets out of the way :D thanks risking ur life to protect us cheer to firefighters ;)

  • I remmember going past this!

  • good fire i remember a fire like this there is some fire pics on my fire departments website here in chili ny

  • just wondering, when you droped the line at the beginning of the driveway..wheres fire hydrant? i dont see it in the vid

  • @Jakdc21 it could very possibly be a non hydranted area. in that case many Departments SOP's mandate the line be dropped at the end of the driveway for a tanker to hook into.

  • @Jakdc21 They dropped LDH at the end of the driveway so the second engine could park there, set up a fold-a-tank, then pump water from that up to the primary engine. That way its easier for the tenders shuttling water.

  • why did it take so long to get to the fire don't they have any one closer to the fire?

  • @pitbullbitedog gee is there a fire house on every block where you live? if you didnt notice it was a rural area.

  • verry poor driving

  • Did Eng 2 arrive directly behind eng 1? If not how far behind did eng 2 arrive?

  • cool vid! lol look a the geek squad car bug at 1:28 at the left

  • was this truck involved in a accident later in the year?

  • Yes, basically all my videos are from Wisconsin.

  • @miraclevideojake nice im from janesville

  • GREAT JOB

  • smoke showing k

  • what would be the max speed of engines like this ?

  • @cstocki my guess is 60-80 on their own power

  • all of the engines in my county have limiters that only let the truck max out at 70 mph...any faster, and you can't control the engine in evasive maneuvers.

  • Why need two-side stopping when firetruck comes?

  • It gives them that much of a safer path to get through, big heavy vehicle at high speeds, who really wants to be close to that. Nice to see all the respect for emergency vehicles.

  • Anyone who has been waiting when seconds literally matter will gladly sacrifice a few seconds and give them all the space they need to respond safely. Thanks to all who do. Thanks to the men and women who respond to our calls for help.

  • @miraclevideojake I mean if you really wanna be like that at 0:32 you blow a stop sign without even touching the breaks sooo

  • @Engine808Squad yea but there werent cars coming the left and the other cars were stopped. they had control of the intersection

  • @hermadur Not sure where you live but it is state law in most if not all states that you must pull to the right and stop for emergency vehicles not matter what side of the road you are on. Providing a clear path. Pulling over and stopping for oncoming emergency vehicles does not apply to divided roads/highways.

  • @jcnme27 I am sure it is I know in New york if you don't get out of the way they push you out of the way with the Fire truck that is a fact

  • Great size up report for incoming crew(s). Nice to lay the line and keep the driveway clear. Good Job.

  • Good video, nice stop at the four way stop!

  • awsome video

  • great driving; one of the best response videos here on youtube

  • great footage and great q

  • dang

thats way out in the middle of no where.

  • did you guys have to lay down a basket for this fire ?

  • They must have just switched the terminology, heard the dispatcher start saying tanker, then say tender. awsome vid

  • well out west a tanker would make some think of an airplane that drops water

  • Just being the Chief that I am, but I heard ICS being established attack and so forth; but I did not hear anything about accountability or prime search. Just wondering? Keep pushing forward!

  • if this is Wisconsin then where are all the cows?

  • We are in Wisconsin, lower central just south of Madison. It is a great place to live.

  • Man, I nioticed the truck crossing some tracks in the beginning of the vid, out of curiousity, how many time have trains held up response?

  • That is just one way out of the station, so if train present, the route changes slightly.

  • what state is this? nice btw

  • I'm so glad we keep on killing ourselves with stupid driving practices.

  • I would have led off with a 2 1/2 line being that yous were the first engine in with fire showing, but im sure you guys got it done just fine.. Nice Vid! 5*

  • Awsome stuff man, keep it coming.

  • Stop sign?

  • A road sign with 8 sides containing white letters with red background and a white boarder

  • 1:28 Geek Squad haha

  • wonder how many times the train tracks block the fire truck from going to its fire

  • Damn you guys are in the boondocks.

  • I saw nothing???

  • As the truck stops for a moment at the driveway entrance, focus on the building at the end of the driveway on the left side. Smoke from top floor, flames visible as they approach.

  • not just to focus. if you hear a door open in the back round. a guy jumped out to do a forward lay

  • Great video - having the radio comms makes it a really complete response video.

I'm guessing based on where the Engine parked, there was no way to turn the camera on scene?

  • Wow people actually pull over there! I have always wondered what happens if a fire truck gets to a railroad crossing and a train is going like 5MPH over it and they need to get to an emergency what do they do? Can anyone answer me that would be great! Nice vids man!

    Peace

    5 Stars

(Good job whoever was working the siren)

  • There are quite a few videos on youtube of that very thing happening and the fire apparatus usually shuts down their siren and waits for the train to pass, they then (depending on the department) notify dispatch that they are delayed by train and will automatically tone another unit in a different location to begin responding. That is what we do in our county. Dispatch has it set up that if the engine gets delayed, they dispatch engine 304 which is on a different side of the tracks and county

  • Ohh Just never knew it! Thanks for answering!

    Peace

    -Stlouissux9119

  • @stlouissux9119 If our first engine is stopped, then it just has to wait, but as soon as we know about it, we would radio to the other trucks responding and they would take a different route depending on the location of the call. This is something that has only happened once that i know about.

  • cant hear sirens that much. great audio. awesome vid

  • Thanks for the vid! Very educational!
