  • Could you please make a video showing how to change the spring on a umarex g36cv that would be amazing I don't want to damage the gearbox

  • how do you get the ant-reversal latch to not pop out during installation please respond and thank you

  • @stpaul17 You may have to use a tool to align the top post of the anti-reversal latch with the hole in the upper mechbox shell during final installation. In every one I've ever done, it never seems to just go in by itself.

  • can this guide be used for changing the spring in the Real Sword type 56-2's gearbox?

  • Thank you very much for this video. I tried to re-assemble my gearbox but it was a huge pain getting it back together. Everything exploded. After watching this video I am confident that I'll be able to finally reassemble it.

  • very nice directions!

  • @0000001100000 Thanks!

  • What are the dimensions of the bushings and shims that are compatible with an AUG mechabox?

  • @DonKisciotte93 If it's a true Tokyo Marui compatible Mechbox, they will be 6mm bushings and shims. The Classic Army AUG may have different sizes depending on when it was made - I would check with the shop you got it from to see if they can pull the exact specs on it. If you are going to measure yourself, measure the outer diameter of the part that is inside the Mechbox (the smaller, stepped-down part of the bushing.)

  • Great video, best ive seen for taking apart the mechbox. A question if I may. I have an ICS SIG 551, which as you may know uses a modified V3 mechbox. The gun is completely stock and has only been skirmished once. After each shot, there is a metallic clunk. I have attempted to research this with little results, however from what I did find, it's to do with the bevel gear and the ARL. From watching other videos of ICS SIG's, its not a common issue. Have you any idea's for a fix?

  • Excellent video!

  • @freekymusic Thanks!

  • I think setting the timing of the gears are not needed, as the everything should be auto aligned with one cycle of action of the gearbox.

  • @albertomg The $2 Harbor Freight Pick and Hook set is great for reaching in and popping ARLs

  • @albertomg: I have had success using some small needle-nose pliers to release the anti-reversal latch on V3 mechboxes. You may be able to do the same thing with a somewhat beefy paperclip bent to fit around the anti-reversal latch.

  • Holy cow. Its been a while.
