However, this contradicts the defining characteristics of homunculi. This leaves wrath with only one difining characteristic a jomonculus: regeneration.
But anyway, there is another defining factor to this: they do this consistantly. @1993MovieMan i understand that the kid wrath was more angry and vengeful, but his was unfocused, childish and more spiteful that wrathful. it doesnt seem anything like what you would expect true wrath to be, bradley has a cold disdain for human life, and the desire to kill or control them all (his wife being a possible exception) remember after mustang is shown that the entire upper brass is in on the scheme that bradley says something along the lines of "do YOU feel pity for a struggling ant?"

@1993MovieMan alright, look, the 03 anime fucked over the storyline by adding elements that had nothing to do with the story, IE the red water, Dante, the decomposing of the bodies, envy being one related, things that just fucked it.
in the manga, which is what is truly cannon seeing as it is the ORIGINAL storyline, the homonculus thought themselves better. and the ORIGINAL WRATH who is BRADLEY is better, because as an adult, he can focus his rage, anger and bloodlust, whereas the kid couldnt

@1993MovieMan i understand that the kid wrath was more angry and vengeful, but his was unfocused, childish and more spiteful that wrathful. it doesnt seem anything like what you would expect true wrath to be, bradley has a cold disdain for human life, and the desire to kill or control them all (his wife being a possible exception) remember after mustang is shown that the entire upper brass is in on the scheme that bradley says something along the lines of "do YOU feel pity for a struggling ant?"

@Milhail It`s true that 2003 anime Wrath was spiteful but his name refers to the fact he was taking out his wrath upon the humans ( especially Izumi and Edward ) he blamed and hated for his " incomplete life " . And , he did eventually learn with Winry and Izumi`s help to focus his wrath and his final act was battling alongside one of the very humans he once hated so ( namely Alphonse )against his mutated homunculus brother Gluttony . He sacrificed himself for the humans he once hated .

@1993MovieMan first, yeah, kid wrath DID fight alongside Al, but bradley, till the end, fought to the death to accomplish his plans, a straightforward assault that left millions dead, and even in the end, he tried to take scar with him. the kid is more Spite than wrath..... and actually, yeah, he would if it were to save father, (not heroic from our standpoint, but he died to save his dad) he would sacrifice himself in a heartbeat, and technically he DID in order to stop scar from interfering. .

@1993MovieMan and even as a self serving douchebag, bradley was still more badass. he didnt rely on stolen techniques and bodyparts, he used what he had (namely his eye and the swords) to get where he needed to go and almost always came out on top....like when he singlehandedly took out a tank, and then Buccaneer, and then the old man...and almost Greed again. all in like 15 minutes. lets see that little unfocused brat do that, without using alchemy

everything the kid used was stolen from Edward, and without that, he was useless. take away bradley swords, hell find some other way to kick your ass. the kid would probably just sit there and cry...worst character EVER.

Notice that when Wrath was in full-on " Psycho Homunculus Kid " mode , he would become homicidally enraged upon hearing an infant`s cry as it reminded him of his time in The Gate . Not ... very ... happy ... memories .

@Heimdallfonphoenix Actually , Anime Wrath has elements of Several Characters from The Manga : Bradley/Manga Wrath( though Bradley`s Homunculus Role had not yet been revealed in The Manga and so for The 2003 Anime Bradley was made Pride and A New Character was made Wrath ) , Izumi Curtis` Stillborn Baby ( whom he was transmuted from ) ,Truth ( residing in The Gate and taking Edward`s limbs though for very different reasons ) and Selim Bradley/Manga Pride ( Child Homunculus ) .

Wrath was transmuted from an infant .

Selim ends up as an innocent child without his Homunculus Memories and Powers , effectively becoming human . He also gains a strange circular mark on his forehead . Presumably , Father designed this mark especially for Pride to keep his Powers in check . They are both unpredictable .
