@mikeinie1 I could not agree more Donegal is a great place and I had the chance to visit many safe houses there in the 70's. The song is really just about the troubles.
Fighting in Donegal? Was there a fight at the Diamond? lol ... Come on, most of this videos are from the troubles in Derry and Belfast. As mentioned below from some of the residents of Donegal, there is no fighting...
i dont get this.this makes donegal seem like it was a warzone.i live in donegal.i have all my life. although there was ira activity here there was no fighting in donegal.this would be a good enough song if it wasnt so innacurate. the clips in this vid, i doubt that any would be in donegal
buck im from donegal.a proud republican nd al i can sa is i wish we had such a fiting force in dis county 2 destroy de brits, however der was a lot of ira activity in donegal nd many brave soldiers came from de hills of donegal
fighting in donegal ? all them fuckers hide under the bed and shit themselfs, all they know is two tell a good story shite houses. up the west and fuck the rest.
you do realise that there was no fighting in Donegal though? Because if the British army crossed the border they could be engaged by Irish Troops. Especially when there was 2,000 Irish Troops stationed in Donegal after the battle of the bogside (1969) in Derry. Jack Lynch the Irish prime minister said if british troops couldnt take control of the city and stop the rioting, then the Irish Army would cross the border and take control of Derry city. Bit of a fact for ya ;)
Spelling recap; ...I would like to "know" the title of this song.

What a load of Sh1T.
Donegal is a beautiful peaceful place and this does not represent the county at all.
