Great! This has just convinced me to buy SNK Arcade Classics Vol 1 from my local CEX. Wasn't sure what genre this game was!

This is one sweet game. I have a friend who teams up with me on shooters, and this is one we liked to play. I like the arranged music on the Neo Geo CD version.

Back in the day when these games were few and expensive. I would devote alot of time with one game, because there is not much anything else to play. Therefore which patient and practice, anyone can get good. It took me awhile too to get past stage one.

PSP, the whole thing has occasional slowdowns, but last resort is one that doesn't seem to. if it wasn't for touhou, i'd think this is the hardest shmup i've ever played.

i have it on both the PS2 and the PSP, and even though it is one hard mother on single player mode, you have to admit that the backgrounds on this game are excellent (some of them are even inspired by the 1988 anime Akira)

true that, very nice graphics, i wish there was some sort of shield pickup. or at least more frequent checkpooints.

I had the NeoGeo AES cart and played the heck out of this game because I had only a few games. I remembered using the satellite orb rotating it to block the enemy bullets. And charging up the satellite orb then shoot it at the enemies.

you could do that, but sometimes the shots come from everywhere! and since you need to go in the opposite direction to face the orb, you sometimes end up hitting a shot. When you shoot it out, this also leaves you vulnerable.

love this game and I think that Pulstar is even more kick ass ! :)
