  • ZOMG SHE'S MY TEACHER!!!

  • mrs barahns- is one of the most incredable people i know and that is not a recording it is her.

  • Very good y like <3

  • Is she pretending to be playing? Whose idea to put that stand there? View `Susan Paree on the Harp' (another vid here) you get the answers: 1. Susan doesn't need to fake playing, clearly she plays like that and plays beautifully; 2. for good or bad, setting up a stand seems her casual habit when practicing or performing.

  • sweet

  • Whose great idea was it to put that music stand there?

  • @jdgrahamo lmao right

  • she is playing it if you look at the strings when the zoom in on her you can see them vibrating. and the harp isn't an electic harp. is susan using the salzedo technique? if so it's great form.

  • very lovely and relaxing. Thank you!

  • I love the harp and I love this song!!

Conclusion: Your video is fabulous!! n____n

  • Susan are you really playing this or is this a recording ?

  • ini lagu kesukaan anak gwe yang #2 Denina Riskarania....

  • Wow...magic music...

    Great...

  • Do you play the harp?

  • That's really cool! I play flute, cello, guitar, and piano. I'd like to play piccolo. If you play flute, can you learn to play piccolo easily?

  • thanks!

  • A sublime performance! Although, the cameraman should have moved around so the stand wouldn't block her hands on the strings.

  • lol good job i should know cuz i alerady learned that song.

  • beautiful

  • it's a very weird instrument, but it's very nice!

  • haha! the harp is such a classical instrument... i never thought it was weird till i read your comment... now that i look at it, it is kinda weird! lol

    but classic, nonetheless [=

  • Very nicely done!

  • im 13 and ive been playing the harp for awhile now, so ive heard a lot of music like this from recitals ive been to and harp solos i've heard, but this probably has to be the best greensleeves i've heard in a long time!

    really well done!

hope i can be that good some day(:

  • Fantastic version!

    Very realxing!

    Congratulations!!!

  • hello mrs behrens I love you on the harp your awesome

  • personaly she should have played it in back of a morris minor

  • she is my music teacher at royal oak middle school.

  • where the hell is royal oak middle school, I want to be 12 again! j/k if she is, then you truly have an awesome mystical music teacher. I play the bagpipes and the trumpet, but truly admire music like this. Enjoy it while you can mate!

  • ahh yes, don't take a damn thing for granted, or else you'll lose every experience you ever had. You've got a teacher not hardly anyone else in the world has.

  • Every 2 secs she takes a look on the sheet... lessens the quality of the play imho

  • omg susan paree she lives 2 doors away from me

    shes got a nice porsche

  • Very nice music!

  • well played by a nice chick,..

  • hahahah

  • if you truly wanted "not 2 b rude" you would have kept your imbecilic comment to yourself, so in reality, you're very rude. what's it like to be so perfect?

  • lmao, you tell him/her!

  • o well sorry i liked it but i just did that little commet u no guys its true but she does play good im not tryin 2 b rude so there u have it and if u want me 2 say sorry well there 'sorry'

  • great, but too slow

  • i can read japanese if you like. it says totemo subarashi

it means "very wonderful tone colour (music sounds) it is.

  • she changed key like a thousand times

  • no, only octaves, she stays pretty true to music, just puts a abunch of harp arpeggios and bass lines in.

  • what i mean, is she started the song on D, i dont have a perfect ear, but i believe that is where she started. once you start there you have a fixed progression, but she was switching back and fourth between the D progression, and the A progression. I might be wrong, I probably am, but one thing is for sure, it doesn't sound right.

  • traditionally the song starts on A minor, but if I guess you have a better ear.

  • I always start it in a minor, but i think, and I may be wrong, but it sounded like she started in D

  • She started in minor key, you wrong...

    The starting key is Fm.

  • There are as many arrangements of Greensleeves as there are musicians playing it. Maybe you believe that if her arrangement does not fit in with your idea of how it should be played she should be taken out and shot. She is obviously reading from a score so she is playing what is written on the page. There is no "right" way to play this tune. Unless of course you have a direct line to the composer. In which case please enlighten us as to who it is. Thereby we may never play it wrongly again.

  • it just sounds dissonant. a, c,d,e,f,e,d,b,g

That's the start, if you want the music, ill have to record it, and scan it, and so on. That's what sounds the most consonant. I do have my reasoning, this particular flow of the melody follows the Am, G, F, E, chord progression, which is a steady drop in notes. It sounds nice and constant. Also, I don't want to shoot her, don't be an asshole.

  • i love it!!!!really great! <3<3<3<3<3<3

  • 我的名字是弗雷德

  • camtheman3x6 just said his name is Fred.

  • lmao nice 1

  • wonderful <3

  • とてもすばらしい音色ですね♪

  • hmmm he/she is saying : totemosubarashii(Kanji(which I don't know =p)) then desune not sure what it means, Id have to look it up, but thats how you say it phoneticly

  • he/shez saying wat a beautiful sound

  • beauty song...congratulations

  • friggin beautiful, man. so much smoother than classical guitar

  • oh trust me... i can play this after only three years on the harp. with a background of Gr. 6 Royal Conservatory Piano, i found the harp quite easy actually. The strings are color coded, and after technique practice it is really not that difficult. :) expensive though.

  • What kind of harp is being played in the video and how much would it cost?

  • it is a pedal harp. and my guess is that it's one from one of the main companies (Salvi, Lyon and Healy, or Venus. if i had to say, i'd guess it's a venus harp) but her harp is a concert grand (the largest size) and quite ornate. one without all that decor would cost a good 15,000 at the least (american) but it can range from there to the mid twenties and even up to 50 grand.

    hope this helps :)

  • How fantastic it is~~

I am attracted by your music and emotion.

  • the harp is quite possibly the hardest instrument to learn but it has a certain tune to it that calms the mind and soul. ty for the upload

  • it is also one of the most strangest looking

  • Gehts noch etwas kitschiger? Danke

  • Just beautiful... Thanks for that...

  • Wonderfull playing

  • I envy people that can play the harp! It is such a beautiful instrument, but theres too many strings for me to keep track of :)

  • not only do you have all those strings but there is 1 foot peddle for each key

  • can I know what kind of harp is that?

    thanks!

  • I really like this song, but I don't like this arrangement much at all.

  • I think this is Susann McDonald's arrangement... I agree... it is pretty... but... this piece is beautiful even if played simple, it doesn't need anything else... that's just being complicated.

  • absolutely gorgeous performance.

@Deltarockets, you've summed up heaven there!

  • I'm in love. Just think... what if you had this beautiful woman to play you heavenly music as you drank your wine and relaxed after work each day? It would be heaven on earth

  • it doesnt really matter whether you can see her hands because this is a very simple harp song. So it is safe bet to say that she could easily play this

  • I think you can tell she's actually playing more from the way her upper arm is jiggling than seeing her hands.

  • oh yes top reason to stay in shape as a harpist the dreadful arm jiggle *shudders*

  • ya she is def playing when it focus on her you can see the strings vibrating plus it is a simple harp as was said above!!

  • I believe that song was written for the harp back in the 1500s, England.

  • Heavenly interpretation!

  • This is beautiful the best version of Greensleeves I have ever heard
