If the person suffering from OCD does not do the thing they have the compulsion they start to get extremely anxious, then the feeling becomes unbearable and they wind up barely able to breathe. People who have OCD would do just about anything to be cured of it. OCD involves physical reaction and symptoms. It is NOT a matter of will power or self esteem.

I think A.D.D. -is- a real problem, however, I think doctors are too quick to diagnose children who simply have trouble learning material and concentrating in class with it.

One thing that really bothers me is people who actually have severe A.D.D. and are supposed to be taking meds daily, but don't - then they wild out and expect everyone to let them off the hook cause they have A.D.D. - just take your meds!
