@gigadead - honestly, what I was simply pointing out is that I know for a fact you're playing it too fast because I've probably heard this song thousands times in my life, the first time being when I was a kid about 25 years ago and also since it used to be one of my favorite songs as a kid. Besides, I really wouldn't want to learn it cuz it's not my style..

kickass playing, I looooove this song, but I can't play it right, the slap-thingy is starting to work, but i just don't understand the right hand pattern when he (or you) is tapping? any chance there might be a lesson coming up soon, u'd be my hero for a decade!!! My surname is Van Eck so all my friends keeps telling me to learn VH classics, and if I nail this one they'll finaly shut up...

The slapping right hand pattern is a drum rudiment called a paradiddle and goes like this: Drum: sixteenth notes RLRR LRLL R...,etc. (R=right hand L=left hand)On Meansteets it's: (right hand over twelfth fret: I=index finger, T=thumb, L= left hand@3rd fret slightly muting low E string: ILII TLTT..., etc. It's more a groove than anything else.
