That was cool! If you can find the time, make more shorts like this and put 'em on YouTube - even if there's no hope for a studio to bother to pick it up. The animations flowed really well... Who says you need studio backing, just get enough fans and a have a website - look at HomestarRunner or Weebl&Bob for instance.
