Fantastic Mr. Fox was absolutely HORRIBLE. I am a HUGE fan of Rhold Dahl, and he wrote that story charming, witty, and cute. But the movie completely RAPED it. Coraline is far superior to that piece of crap excuse for a movie.

i'll admit its SLOW! i was a twilight saga hater and was bored 2 death until jacob started becoming funny. i seriously believe the movie was 4 ppl who READ the book. I think the director should've thought of making the movie both enjoyable 4 the book lovers and non-book lovers!

For the most part, New Moon was just awful. But I think the reason that I still liked it was that I thought Taylor Lautner actually did a pretty good job with his character; I found his performance really believable. But even so, the writing was hideous.

call us haters, but I think as a general audience people don't like New moon, yes it has made alot of money, just because boyfriends were forced to watch it, or guys who wanted to go out with girls.

Is all eye candy for the girls, that's all new moon is, we put 2 guys with more cloth on and let's say in their 40s and not so handsome, I bet it would make no money at all.

Fan girls are just in denyal, but seriously , as a movie was bad.

well you say that the -70% drop is understandable because of such a huge opening weekend, I must say that it also signifies how sucky the movie is. Especially when you look at the daily drops on the opening, after everyone who had to see it right away saw it the numbers dropped significantly.

Also when you look at the Dark Knight, which had an even bigger opening weekend but only a 52% drop, that 70% seems less excusable.

Twilight--i just watched it cause I wanted to see the wolves, it is just another spot along the road for the story, wanted to see what they left out, but I agree in that it had some bad acting and lots of hurt looking 'teens' though I did like the wolves for me it was all about the wolves.

Carol--it was good saw it in 3D but if you know the story it is nothing new of course so just wait for it to be on DVD if you have seen it once in any format then you have seen this one too

...You liked Christmas Carol? I saw it this weekend, and everything was so... meh. At the beginning it kept switching tones, from serious to goofy, and the last third was ridiculous and seemed to do almost nothing to shape scrooge. It's like they fit in one action scene where his voice is high for the kids to laugh. And even from a film school perspective, it made way to many cuts too fast. Kind of like The Dark Knight.

I am a twilight fan (somewhat ashamed to say) but even I know that new moon was a terrible movie. Its pretty much a huge pile of fan service. It gave you the eye candy plus a plot and script that was ridiculously close to the book (unlike twilight). This movie was not made to be watched by people who haven't read the book or people who are on the fence about the twilight series at all. This is simply made for the original fans who have read the book.

I loved every minute of it.

I'm not fan of Twilight by any stretch of the imagination. But the reason I didn't hate New Moon as much are;

Jacob wasn't as big a soppy romantic idiot as Edward was in Twilight.

For me the worst part of New Moon was probably the beginning when ed and bella are together.

I don't understand how people don't get annoyed at their stunted speech.

there are so many long dramatic pauses and they really put me off.

It doesn't help that what they are saying is for the most part boring.

I loved New Moon because it was a total step up from Twilight,, it actually made me like Jacob, the wolves were amazing, I loved the Volturi scene, Micheal Sheen was amazing as Aro and you gotta love the eyecandy ; ). But I also have to wonder, have you read the books Grace? Cause I feel-and this is just my opinion-that you have to have read the books tounerstand and enjoy ithe movie more, or hate it if your one of those people who think a movie should copy a book page-for-page =P
