You are quite right. In the UK you get these in a 2.0 i-vtec petrol and a 2.2 i-Dtec diesel. The diesel is extremely fast with barrel of torque...as is the case in most diesels. Infact Honda offer a Type-S accord here which comes with the 2.2 diesel, thats how good it is. This is top notch, especially with the aero kit.

I have been doing some research and it turns out that this body style is available in a few countries including Japan and Europe.

The down side is from what I have seen and read it does not come in a V6, only two 4 cylinders engines and an available Diesel in Europe.

If I am wrong on any of this please let me know.

I love the look of it and it is available with a few more options then what we get here, but as a few with pointed out it is a smaller passenger car then the US and Canadian Models.

I wish I could make a movie like that, nicely done. I now drive a e12 Corolla with low mileage, but if I were to buy a new car now, the Accord would be the first on my list. Being in Europe that would be the 2.4 manual (no tourer). And blue seems like a nice colour.

This car has real quality. A sales manager at a Honda dealership actually told me some months ago. that this Accord comes straight from it's assembly in Japan to the UK. It has been voted the most reliable car by "Which" UK.

I don't agree with a couple of comments on here. Honda have ruined what was a beautiful car. The last model was amazing, was the best looking accord ever made. Really made people sit-up and take the accord name seriously this one is just butt ugly in comparison. It may have toys, but it looks like car that was designed for the American market. So cattleman- you may have your wish. I own a 2005- never will I change for the current model. is there anyone else out here that feels the same?

I agree with you that the older saloon model was really beautiful. I drove a hired 2.4 automatic on my visit to Cape Town December 2007- January 2008. The car had a hard sporty suspension. I didn't want to hand the car back I loved it so much.

This new Accord looks lovely in black. Certainly in Dublin with the present dull weather, the lighter colours don't look as well. The front seats are superbly comfortable.

While I can understand your point of view I think you are somewhat biased since you own the old model, but even so I'd never say they "ruined it". Quite the opposite, I think the 2008 version is just a real beauty.

himynameislilo. What the heck is wrong with telling the truth? Have you sat in this European Honda Accord? It does look better in a dark colour if you live in Europe with not too hot a climate. I once lived in a hot country where cars looked great in white.

It is also one of my favourite cars. In america the American Accord is not such a classy car. Obviously the american Acura is basically similar to the European Accord. I was very impressed with the European accord.

@WAHTTHEDIEW They do sell it over here, but they sell it in the form of the Acura TSX, and that's more expensive than the much larger Accord Sedan that we've got here. The TSX is very nice, but if it were between that and the Accord V6, I would choose the US spec Accord V6. Much larger, less expensive, and more practical for everyday use. Of course, the TSX is slightly more luxurious.
