I agree. it's timeless, Seinfeld series is the Shakespeare plays in terms of comedy. Too many quotable quotes, contains great dialogues about human ignorance. it's a satirical, polemical and the funniest and most memorable zeitgeist of the 20th and the 21st centuries.

the first 3 seasons of seinfeld were horrible... after watching them again i still can't figure out how the show survived. season 4, 5, and 6 were slightly better, but still nothing spectacular. then we have seasons 7-9 that are quite possibly the most brilliant, original comedy ever written. given those last seasons, it still remains my all time favorite show and i have never seen anything nearly as funny since

Of course CYE is better. Its 50 times more self-aware (Larry David playing himself, with social constraints removed). The callbacks are tight, the subjects are way more daring, and theres no laughter track. No contest.

I love both "Seinfeld" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm."

However, I much prefer to watch an episode of "Seinfeld" than "CYE." Just my opinion. If "Seinfeld" was no longer in syndication I would be "devastated" but if I was to never see another episode of "CYE" I wouldn't feel too badly.

Both are great comedies by my allegiance is clearly with "Seinfeld," not that anybody is pitting the two shows against one another LOL.

Jerry is overrated, IMHO. Larry David was the true genius behind Seinfeld. Watch Curb Your Enthusiasm and you'll see Seinfeld without the mainstreaming.
