  • why dont they simply tell boeing 2 make another air force 1??????

  • This thing looks badass!!

  • so this is how they make these death traps...

  • I have a 1/500 scale model of Illinois One limited to 1000 pieces! :D

  • Awesome!

  • I saw Illinois One at Burbank today and this was the day that Former Illinois Governor Rob Blagojevich got sentenced for 14 years in prison for the corruption! Ironic, Anybody?

  • I fly her in Flight Simulator ;)

  • notice the fat fast moveing guy at 0:44

  • I have fueled that aircraft!

  • I guess you people don't know Boeing moved headquarters to down town Chicago!!!!! That's why they made one for us!

  • Why doesn't southwest Make a Virginia one?lol

  • Do you know if this is the 700 version or 900

  • @stitch16261 700, southwest doesnt have 900's, they are buying 800's however

  • They should have taken off the "southwest" for this particular plane and put CORRUPT in capital letters--this is Illinois.

  • Paint took longer than it took to put together the aircraft haha!

  • They should make a New York One

  • Im from indiana when will they make Indiana One?

  • can i have one plane please

  • @mariusz77us Are you serious right now?

  • IF IT AINT BOEING

    IT AING GOING!!!!!

  • I never have been on a flight with southwest but i love their paint schemes on the aircrafts. I have seen some videos of landings and the flight attendants seem really funny. Southwest FTW!

  • standarization...is what every fleet is looking for....and the best way to standarize everything....is one type of aircraft

  • What song is this? My son loves it!

  • I don't even want to GUESS what that paint job cost. I'm sure Earl Scheib couldn't do that one for 99 bucks.

  • They should make a Wisconsin 1

  • i love the color of the plane everything is amazing the flight attendants r amazing but sadly i cant get on any southwest airlines coz im in the uk :(

  • @coolalex766 come visit over here!

  • it seams that they are saying baby o loard.

  • Best looking plane ever.

  • will southwest ever get larger planes like a 747?

  • @ryan0157 Never

  • @ryan0157 No need its domestic USA only.

  • @tinyman12323 ya no shit sherlok i was wondering if southwest would get larger planes and furthar away destenations in the future but apperantly not

  • @ryan0157 Then why ask, sherlock.

  • @tinyman12323 well hay hay hay, mabee i got what i wanted to know when he said that southwest would never get anything larger than a 737 dumb fuck

  • @ryan0157 dont try to outsmart in airplanes and flying or anything with aerionautics because i am few moths away from my private pilot's license, asshole

  • @ryan0157 aeronautics**

  • @tinyman12323 hay dumb fuck i have had my pilots licence for 5 years

  • @ryan0157 First, if you have had your license for 5 years, than you should have known that SWA does only Boeing 737's and only 737's. 2: Learn to spell "hey" right "dumb fuck"

  • @tinyman12323 fuck tard, i don’t care about my spelling on the internet, in real life, well thats a different story. I was wondering if SWA was ever going to expand and go international

  • @ryan0157 Ok, and i answered that question, you just became a big bitch and started this conversation.

  • @tinyman12323 I KNOW THAT SWA IS NATIVE TO THE U.S.!!!!!

I ONLY ASKED IF SOUTHWEST AIRLINES WOULD EVER GET NAYTINIG LARGER THAN A 737, I DIDNOT ASK IF THEY FLY OUT OF THE US

NEXT TIME, KEEP YOUR COMMENTS TO YOUR SELF

  • @ryan0157 If you look back i answered your question completely.

  • @tinyman12323 Shut up fuckbitch.

  • @AirlinePilotZJ Whats a fuckbitch? You need to learn to cuss, dumb fuck

  • @ryan0157 southwest only will have the 737 for a few years. BUT, now not only do they fly 737-300 737-500 and 737-700, with the price that came from purchasing airtran, now they will fly 737-800. they are trying to also buy out fronteir and everyone said yes except for the pilots from fronteir because in the airline business, everything goes by seniority and when you get bought by a new company, your seniority is at the bottom of the foodchain no matter how long u worked for the other airline

  • @checkerace50 They are also going to keep the 717s that Airtran flew, according to a SWA captain that I know.

  • I have so much respect for Boeing because they keep work in the US and aren't jumping on the outsource bandwagon. American based companies are moving more and more jobs overseas. We should all support companies that keep jobs in our great nation. Boeing is the best

  • this is just like the florida one vid o_O lazy vid editors?

  • @SweatyFunSeeker

Check the number that appears at the beginning (00:10) at the fuselage , i think that the only difference with the other video is the part of the painting.

  • @SweatyFunSeeker its all the same

  • @SweatyFunSeeker Actually this was first ? 0_o lol

  • Who comes up with the wild paint schemes for its aircraft? Artists, Southwest personnel, or Boeing's paint department?

  • To bad you can't build a real aeroplane that quick

  • I think I may have flown on that exact aircraft

  • they have one called the Florida one aswell look for it on youtube!

  • that is sooooo cool to see how they make and paint this kinda plane which im guessing is a 737 lol...plus i LOVE southwest so...haha thanks for posting!

  • lol 1:13 that guy look like G.W Bush

  • KANSAS ONE haha that would be gay

  • I just flew home on this plane a couple days ago from Providence to Baltimore

  • they need to make one for ohio

  • hey need to make a plane for ohio :)

  • I SEEN THAT PLANE

  • Comment removed

  • Boeing and Airbus are both good, but Boeing is my favorite. Southwest Airlines's Boeing 737's are the best ones.

  • southwest is great but imagine if they start international flights with 777s and all that dat would be crazy

  • why is it a 737 800?

  • ya southwest....

  • HAHAHAHAHAH il ike what that guy Shamu One XD hats off to ya XD

  • I thought Shamu one was refering to all the fat redneck hillbilly Americans that SWA transports...

  • lol your just trying to get controversy i can tell

  • No...I don't know what you are talking about! ;)

  • Shiny.

  • i actually flew on this plane on a flight from denver to los angeles

  • How fast does the 737s move along the assembly line?

please tell me if you know.

  • 320 kmh IAS Thats about 400-450 MPH Ground Speed depending on the altitude.

You gotta be good to work at those speeds.

  • Approximately 2 inches per minute.

Boeing 737s are assembled at the Boeing plant in Renton, WA. The moving 737 assembly line in Renton replaced three separate non-moving 737 production lines. The single moving line is more efficient, and allows aircraft to be completed up to 50 percent faster.

The much newer moving assembly line at the Boeing wide-body plant in Everett, WA moves at about 1.8 inches per minute. Its used only during the final assembly stages (seats, etc) of the Boeing 777.

  • I think about 6-8 days

  • Chicago being the capitol of Illinois should have its own airplane... I just wish the city had an airport to land that baby at.

Also, anyone from Illinois should pay only $1 to fly on it...except for those from Chicago...it should be free for them.

  • I have not travelled in domestic airline in US. Does the service as good as that of international freight?

(I am from Hong Kong. We only have international airlines, such as NorthWest and United Airline)

  • the service is not even as good as DOMESTIC freight! lol

  • Chicago is not the capital of Illinois

  • Wow... lots wrong with this statement. First off, Chicago the capital of Illinois??? Try Springfield. Also, Chicago doesn't have an airport??? Last I checked we have two. O'Hare and Midway... The latter being a hub for Southwest. As for your economics lesson.... riiiiight.

  • The main hub for Southwest Airlines is Oakland Intl Airport

    KOAK

  • Actually Southwest's largest hubs in order from largest to smallest are Las Vegas-McCarran, Chicago-Midway, Phoenix-Sky Harbor, Baltimore, Houston-Hobby, Dallas-Love Field, Denver, Oakland, Los Angeles-LAX, and Orlando. Southwest has more hubs and focus cities than any other air carrier.

  • 737-300

  • ALL RIGHT!

  • they should do a "America One" with like the flag and a bald eagle

  • wouldnt have chose this music but watever

  • now that is just SICK!

and Tony they don't even use other boeing jets, there all 737's some older then others. and i got nothing against airbus. i think boeing look better, but airbus's are more comforable to fly in.

and they should def. make a Florida 1

    SWA FTW!

  • they should make a connecticut one

  • They only do states where they have large presences

  • they should make a:

    florida one

    michigan one

    vermont one

    washington one

washington DC one(with pics of like the mall, wash. monument, white house, etc)

    oregon one

and eventually have 1 4 each of the 50 states

  • see joeairplane79's comment

  • Hey godbuzzrobotics, they kind of already have a Florida one, the Shamu one!

  • The Shamu One is my favorite

  • ditto

  • lol my name has no "d" in it and lol-but i mean one with the flag lol

  • @gobuzzrobotics But southwest doesn't fly to every state idiot.

  • It's amazing how they put these birds together.

Using only one kind of plane has made SWA very successful, we'll NEVER use AirBus!

  • HELLO PLZZZ HELP ! I've gotten a presentation to be delivered on a case Study on Saturday at University , since I've never traveled by Southwest airline , i don't know much abt SWA at all.... kindly lend me some help at the soonest opportunity... ! Qustions are,

    1) What are Reasons associated with planning that contribute to success of "Southwest Airlines" ?

2)Highlight the Southwest Strategy of operations specifically in relation to the overall Airlines industry

    3)How to expend its business

  • This is my second favorite southwest plane my first is California one

  • Santanamets57, they wouldn't do that because buying only one airplane keeps maintenance costs down.

  • that is one hell of an ugly plane and southwest sucks

  • beautifullllll !

  • the only problem with southwest is that all they fly are 737's. they should get soem 757's or some airbuses. other than that VERY GREAT AIRLINE

  • Southwest will probably only buy Boeings because they are American, and Southwest only flies in America, and they will probably stick with the 737 because they canjust buy a bunch of the same replacement parts so they can keep cost down.

  • @adw28productions Yea they are slowley retireing the Boeing 737-300s so hopefuly they will get some Boeing 737-900 or 800

  • @RickMakesGoodVideos That would be cool. I like the new 800s. I haven't seen a 900 though, but I assume it's very similar.

  • @adw28productions they are but the 900 has more options for airlines to pick from

  • @adw28productions

    its not that reason

like other small airlines such as easyjet ryan air etc they stick to a system called "no frills" which basically applies that you only use one type of aircraft or the same genre of aircraft such as with the "boeing 737 could be along side a airbus A319"

  • @youngglasskid I can almost guarantee southwest will not buy another aircraft besides the Boeing 737. They pretty much have stuff going with Boeing now, and they would not go Airbus. Remember when they were bidding for Fronteir? Their plan was to eventually switch the Airbuses into brand new Boeing 737s. Southwest is lookin for expansion on what they already have built on. They don't want to try something new and mess up what they got going. But you're right about no frills. :) go southwest!

  • @adw28productions yeah exactly they have a great thing going already with only the 737's why would they wanna mess that up with bringing in a new type of aircraft and manufactorer...cuz everyone working for southwest should know the 737's inside and out by now and i think in a way that makes them safer cuz they dont fly anything else and whats the same on a boeing 737 may not and probably isnt the same one a airbus 320 so they wont have to worry about knowing more than one type of plane

  • @adw28productions sooo jetblue flies only in america and they have airbus a320's

  • @adw28productions Southwest also sticks with Boeings because when the airline was first introduced, airbus did not have any aircraft that would fit their needs. The Boeing 727 fit. Eventually, the 727's were replaced with the Boeing 737 because the 737 and the 727 have very similar cockpits and operations. The southwest fleet is now mainly 737's to keep the cost of training and maintenance down

  • @adw28productions now that they got Airtran they will fly 717 and Airtrans 737

  • they can't buy new 757s because boeing doesn't make em anymore.

  • Boeing is the best.

If it an't Boeing, I'm not Going.

  • Good one!

  • @homestopper lol

  • @homestopper So you went to the factory too? Cool bro.

  • boieng is so good at what they do!

  • southwest planes rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i wounder how long it took to build that?

  • Generally it takes 3-4 weeks depending on options, paint jobs, and supply.

  • nice looking plane i wounder how much a piant job like that would be?

  • great looking plane

  • YA! 5STARSSSSS!!! ! ! ! ! !

  • That's cool. I live in Chicago.

  • That is one hell of a complicated paintjob.

  • this is the coolest plane build in a couple of minutes i've ever seen

  • Southwest it the best 737 carier But the Hawiian Airlines is the best 757 and 717 carrier!

  • nice

  • i always don't get how they paint it...

they paint some colour first, and then put some kind of paper stuff and then paint more colour, then u unwrap somestuff....

  • I saw this at PDX yesterday!!! Beautiful paint job!!!

  • Ta=hat's what I call a colorful paintjob! Nice upload!

  • so sorry my mistake, the vid quit working and i couldnt see the ending

  • its not necessarily a southwest plane, its just a regular 738 being built

  • i know one of da shots made it look like a 800

  • oh yea cause it was a 800 but of southwest

  • my mistake its not a southwest plane the 800

  • Beautiful!!

  • looks like a 737-800

  • hey southwest only has a fleet of 737-300 737-500 and 737-700 and the was a 700

  • im waiting on a detroit livery

  • I love all of the special paint jobs, especially Lone Star One.

  • I hope I can catch this on my MDW-LAS flight and/or return in August

  • Love the color

  • Southwest, you are A-1 with me! I'm on your aircraft these days weekly and am looking forward to seeing Illinois One serving my flight from Midway to Philly or back soon!

  • wow exiting!

  • "New Mexico One" is the best livery out there!!!

  • I see a lot of southwest jets in El Paso Texas but this is the nicest one.

  • I like it. And Southwest has paint jobs for the states that they have bases in. Lonestar - HOU and DAL, Airzona - PHX, California - OAK, Nevada - LAS, Maryland - BWI, and now Illinois - MDW. Also have NBA, Silver, Triple Crow, and the White one.

  • the white one wont be white for much longer. they had two that they bought off of ford motor co. one has since been painted

  • dont forget SHAMU!

  • Great video!

  • Umm no... they also have Lone Star One, California One, Slam Dunk One, Maryland One, Silver One etc, etc... fits with the theme they already have going.

  • You're going to look stupid because Mccain will win and SWA already has an Arizona plane, oh ah I mean Air Force One!!!! I suppose SWA got lucky with Bush since they have a Lone Star One!!!!! Get a life jdmorron!

  • You're retarded Johhnyairliner. It's like their tradition to honor different states with paint jobs, so you can get a life.

  • I LOVE IT!

WAY TO GO SOUTHWEST, YOU ROCK

  • Really cool, just twittered about it :-)

  • I'm confused. In the beginning, they are showing a 737/800...

  • Good eye! Boeing produced the video and used some stock b-roll in the beginning. The LUV-jet at the end is ours though!!

  • yea ur right! i think it is just kinda like a "generic" style of the video, showing the basic steps to putting and airplane together...then the go to Illinois one

  • does anyone know what the cream parts are under the window frame at 0:38 are??

  • What cream parts exactly are you referring to?

  • The cream parts are the window shades.

  • Great video! Awesome paint job.

  • omg so nice :)

  • Sexy.
