  • Would you recommend using a 120 gb ssd drive or a 1 tb regular drive? It's mostly for the speed

  • I want SSD, but the size and especially the price is too high, i wont broke my wallet for that =) maybe i better wait for a moment and hope it will more affordable

  • how do get the cursor

  • why do you have the video and the audio on seperate tracks? c_c

    just wondering

  • Far to much for the size of it bring the price down and i would get some ... but far too much for what they are .

  • nice drive

  • I'd get an SSD but it would would be a low priority to get because I have tons of hardware in need to get first like a new video card and cpu cooler. What do you recommend for a Phenom II 720 BE?

  • wher is your weekly techtalk

  • good!

  • i would buy it if it was cheaper i mean come on 64 gb for 100€

  • if i installed one of em in my laptop would it break the insurance terms and conditions and the waranty?

  • @secretbadger2 Go for it my friend just swap the hard drive and install the SSD ;) no risk of damage or failure.

  • yeah i want one NOWW

    and again great review :)

    yeah

    thank you x

  • @Xterminatorbond - I remember when I spent $400.00 for a 40MB hard drive (RLL or was it MFM?), AND it had a TON of bad sectors etc. THis was 1985 though, a bit of perspective. $250 IS NOTHING, believe me.

  • @dmagdaleno WOW really, holy shit we've come a long way in 25 years! and that like 1000 dollars today! But i still think its way to much for only 64GB of storage

  • You should do SSD's in raid0 ;3

  • It's nice to see a reviewer out there that communicates with it's viewers. This SSD is nuts, and I wish I could get one. I will be looking at the newer Intel entry-level model they go for about $100.

  • THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO yeah!

  • PCwizkid!! I have an awesome Idea for a awesome video! you should make a video of you! you know how awesome that would be You should be in it and be reviewing some also! so much views and so much more people would know about the product your reviewing!!

  • Dude, where do you get the money to buy all this?

  • @detroid89 i guess he is a youtube partner so he gets money for posting videos, and some of the stuff he gets is donated to him

  • @JugglingD wow, that's my kind of job, free components, all for just shooting vidoes. What do you think?

  • @JugglingD wow thats so cool, wish i had that opportunity

  • @detroid89

    He is sponsored.

companies give him shiz for free and he reviews them and promotes them :)

  • @detroid89 lol that's my question :P

  • @gamemaster905 lol me too! :P this guy is sure a lucky dude to have free components given to him and these components are the expensive type!

  • @detroid89 Take into consideration the hours of worktime involved not just to shoot the reviews and edit them. He does have to build all the rigs and do the testing, and imagine the QQ if he doesn't release a new vid in say, 2 or even 3 weeks. It's a Democles' sword, this. He may get tons of fun hardware to test, but from what I can guess, very little time to actually use it. That's what I'm guessing, at least.

  • Hi

I'm i great fan of your vids and was wondering if you could and possibly if you had the time could you please make a video on how to have 2 hard drives and how you would go about setting it up so windows is installed on 1 drive but it automatically uses the 2Nd drive as storage

    Many Thanks

    Jamie

  • is an ssd drive like a big memory stick?

  • lol thumb up... not 5 star any more..lol.....

  • It's Great for the Cheap 10" laptops ,otherwise....

  • I would like to pop my OS on a good SSD like this. That would be good.

  • @stryeker "pop my OS ".. That's the first time i heard that phrase.. O.o

  • @Idler81643 haha cool!

  • hmmm. first time i ran Crysis. 30 secs

    With a WD CG 500GB ... WTF?

  • There is no 512GB Torqx. Just in case anyone was wondering.

I have used one of these for 1 year now.(128GB model) I had to replace the 1st one. It took Patriot 7 days to get my new one to me free of charge....and it still worked. Just slowly. I have used the same one for about 11 months and they are GREAT!

  • which SSD is the best one?

I just want it for OS and maybe a few games or softwares I use everyday.

    thanks

  • I don't really get these SSD drive things. It's an extremely fast drive with extremely low space?

  • 4:09: "Storage for data or media" Well... boot drive: ok. fast as well in accesstime as well as in read/write. I think SSDs are much too expensive to just 'waste' them for storage. For that piurpose an ordinary oldschool HDD is more than fine.

  • SSD's are still not reliable for power users. they can fail within a week without a certain program which means they are still experimental

  • Patriot = poor company. They have distributed a bad batch Torq for 5 months with high failure rate.

  • Patriot = poor company. They have distrubuted a bad batch Torq for 5 months with high failure rate.

  • @naturecannon

    ssdtechnologyforum com/Thread-Patriot-Solid-State-Drive-s-SSD-Far-From-Solid

  • I just might buy one of these... but only after the price drops which will be like Q2 2011 XD

Also if I want to put my OS on it will I have to re-install my OS, or do I just drag "Windows" on it like a fucking idiot?

  • Surely defragmenting will be needed with a fragmenting file system or does it take no time to seek each fragment?

  • no SATA 6GB/s? youd think all new hard drives would come with this

  • SSD., something for the future but to expensive now.

  • NO NEED TO DEFRAG? lol

  • Why are the SSD drives so expensive ? I heard it's all digital and it's faster, but is it worth the money ?

  • @Norby19O7 only if you demand only high performance parts, they are much faster and are expected to last alot longer because of no moving parts and can take force impact up to 1500g's. not worth it to the average user but perfect for enthusiasts and gamers alike.

  • @Norby19O7 that depends on your opinion! i think so! but many would say no. you could buy a TB for 100$ and a 30Gb ssd for 75$. your choice.

  • @dacooter that's the problem...normally i would choose 1TB :|

  • @Norby19O7 Well. then SSD's are not for you : P i think they are great.. but it just depends.

  • those things are awsome

  • defrag? havent done that in a LOOOONNNGGGG while lol

  • My next rig will have a SSD for sure. A hard drive is a bottle neck.

I have more than enough money for an awesome new rig but my current one isn't shitty yet and I want to wait for new improvements like 128bit CPUs.

  • What version is your Everest program - because i don't have all those menu's

  • How much those it cost's?

  • @Xterminatorbond Click the link in the description of the video, this one goes for about $250

  • @PCWizKid So much? OCZ Vertex 60GB costs 186€ here. (Finland)

  • @PCWizKid

    250 dollar?

Ahhr this hurts! Especially when i'm not even living in the USA :)

I'l just stay with my Seagate 500 GB. Enough space for me!

  • Ah, the speed of an SSD is wonderful, I used an Intel 40Gb in my build, gets 7.2 in Windows Experience. (Win. 7, Phenom II 955 @ 3.2Ghz, 4Gb DDR3 @1600Mhz, Sapphire HD 5750 w/ Vapor-X)

  • @MetroidfanCNC What is the advantage for an ssd drive (a very fast drive)? Does it mean you can download stuff a lot faster or what? what are the benefits of it? I just want to know that's all. I am panning on getting a 5870 vapor-x sapphire so would it help with micro stuttering?

  • @TearsOfWar1 Loading speeds mostly. Any old plain jane Hard Drive is already MANY MANY times faster than your internet connection can download stuff so no that will not be any faster. But loading up Windows on boot up and loading up big games will be faster.

  • @MN12BIRD I have two OS's, win7 and ubuntu. Will this have enough room to store both OS's on it?

  • @TearsOfWar1

Yes I'd do 50GB Windows, 10GB Linux. And have a HDD for storage.

  • @TearsOfWar1 An SSD is a Solid State Drive, which stores data essentially like a giant flash drive, whereas a normal Hard Drive stores data on a spinning magnetic disk, which has to physically move to access data. And I have no idea as to what micro stuttering is, ask PCwizkid about that.

  • @MetroidfanCNC overclock the cpu :D you can get 3,6 without changing voltages :D

  • 64gb is to small

  • @KillaCali80sbaby I don't think so. You only want this for SPEED so you would still have a BIG 1.5-2TB HD for the price to store movies on and such. But this is big enough for an SSD to load your OS and main programs. Windows 7 only takes up like 6GB so that leaves you with 55+ GB for all your main games and apps.

  • Maybe i should get one of those to my laptop :)

  • nice

  • Dont you guys think that the new youtube layout SUCKs!

  • @Techipedia True, true...

  • PCWizKid tic tock
