  • That "lady" is such a busted Stepford, I can just hear her saying "What is that?" after he points it out to her. She's not even picking up on all the visual cues of its location from the bloke or anything!

  • why is the sky black?

  • @OceansLost According to the luminance of the objects that the camera is filming, it adjusts it's "exposure time". This time is the time taken to capture every frame of the video. For example, if I say the exposure time is 1/500, that means the camera takes 0.002 second to capture every video frame. The shorter the exposure time, the darker the objects are. In this case, the exposure time was very short, so you have the impression the sky was dark, but actually it wasn't.

  • @hdaircrafts Hey thanks, I don't like flying much but I think i'm just going to man up, and smash my head with my fist if i freak.

  • Everyone should take turns looking at the view.

  • Sir look at those assholes in the window.. .i.. lol

  • ur on a 747 though haha... but that is really cool

  • Am I the only one who would have a temptation to open it even though it would be stupid

  • when we flew out to california it seemed like we passed another jet every 20 minutes

  • that chick was probably saying something about it being hijacked.. she looks like that kind of old people that assumes everyone is a terrorist..

  • that plane is over 2 miles away !!

  • they never seen another airplane in the air XD

  • had this happen to me once, but we flew maybe 100 feet over top of some kind of jet, seemed as if it was going 1000km lol

  • Hey Jethro, that's an aeroplane flying in the sky!

  • were you in an A380 in this vid?

  • @EP1997 i think it was in airbus a340

  • @Xamydumasfan4everX cant be look at 0:27 , you can see a qantas logo on the engine. and qantas doesnt have a340's so its a 747-400.

  • what is the altitude ?? 35000 feets ??

  • Creative Video

    Wonderful photography

    Thank you for you

  • WOOOW an airplane!

  • thats cool.they are up there

  • i love how many people turn their camera sideways like a camera. unless the whole video is like that it seems like you would realize that it dosent automatacly turn rofl

  • Air Pacific is the other plane. LOL

  • Hey what airline where you Flying ? = ) It looks very comfortable ! ! !

  • @tricon909 Its QANATS

  • @tricon909 QANTAS

  • ok for the record ive flown from knoxville,TN to LAX about a 4 hour flight and we flew at FA34 very comfortable. and i have flown to new zealand 7 times and its gonna be 8 times in december of this year so i pretty much know how high we usually will be and its usually between 39-46k ft. so im just clearing this up and i know this is for australia but im just clearing things up

  • @PYCHODrAgOn IM flying SFO-PER. next week cant wait.

    bicycling across aussie.

  • looks great! how do you know that plane goes to sydney?

  • Wow, in my entire life i have never been so high up in a airplane where you can see space

  • I was on a 747 and flew at 41,000ft, but that's the highest I've ever been.

  • I have never heard of a 747 that cruised at FL470. I was once on a 747SP that cruised at 41,000 feet, and that's about the highest you can go short of a Concorde.

  • people please be seated

  • @kingsmehul

hahaha awesome comment eheh:P Thump up

  • im sorry but ive seen the first 2 vids of this and the fucking camera guy can hold it for shit, he has it sideways threw almost the entire first one, the second vid was fine and now he has the camera on an angle this time.

  • i had an a340 come right over me a few weeks ago

  • okay...I just did a little more research, since I was curious. Cruising altitude is between 30-50K ft. Most flights are 30-35K ft, because there is more oxygen and the engines run better, passengers are more comfy. No planes are allowed above 60K ft w/o FAA approval (and it's not happening unless you are military). I have flown in a commercial plane that went to 59K ft once to avoid a major storm - I didn't realize how uncommon this is! The dark sky in this video is simply lack of sunlight!

  • What plane where you on? I have never heard of a plane going that high, unless it was a Concorde.

  • Do you know what altitude you where flying at? My guess is at least 48,000 ft. Seems you are flying well above the normal flying height for smaller commercial aircraft. Makes sense that it would be higher because of the longer travel distance. I believe it is common for Jumbo planes to fly at higher altitudes.

  • i recently flew from HKG to LAX at a constant 33,000 feet..i wanted to go higher though..haha..is it true that if an airplane flies higher means it flies faster?

  • nope...the engines lacks air, hence lacks O² for power. if u're talking abt FL250-FL350...true, but FL35 and above...hardly, unless u're sumthing lyk Concorde or sum military aircraft dat spears through the air at Mach 1.5 above. in addition to that...u're dumping fuel when cruising at above FL400. less air, less power, need more power, need more fuel. capish?? heheheheee...

  • We fly higher because their is less wind resistance the higher you go, so, in fact you use less throttle and use less fuel. hope that clears that up!

  • if an airplane goes higher it has to fly faster to produce the same amount of lift force, but flying faster means approaching the sound barrier and that´s when most airplanes can´t go any faster safely

  • Why at least 48,000ft? Most planes can't fly over 45,000ft even if they wanted to.

  • @UnitedFundamentalist hes somewhere between 40,000-45,000 feet.

  • The one going to Sydney is gonna get there first.

  • What altitude is that (on avg.)

  • Cruising altitude probably, so about 32 000 feet, could be a few thousends more though

  • the other plane is 2000 ft above normal cruise alt.

  • alantic between usually 30000 to 40000 feet.. but ofcourse u got exeptions like 28000 or 41000 or something.. i hope its clears it up a bit :)

  • what kind of aircraft you are on board? I saw that have a little desk, how many flight hour are from los angeles to melbourne

  • That's a 747-400 for sure!

  • LOL.....Take a look at the ugly old lady at the end of the video, she was as lost as an elephant in a chinaware shop...Look up, madam, look up..... not down!!

  • i hate standing next to the door. i feel like it will break open and i will be sucked out. i just want to open it for fun.

  • @whitehawk38 Its not possible to open during cruising flight, and you are saying you want to risk the lives of hundreds of people for fun?

  • @whitehawk38 i feel the same way, even in my car on the freeway next to a cliff

  • @whitehawk38 yeah dude same thing i am so scared to go by the door of the plane when it is 37,000 feet above!

  • @whitehawk38 true!!

  • @whitehawk38 It Will Never. It Is Sealed To The Fuselage With The Air Pressures.

  • @whitehawk38 Unless there is decompression in the cabin, it's theoretically impossible for the door to be opened when flying at above 10000 feet. Big jet aeroplanes use what are called 'plug doors', they open inwards, and have a wedge shaped seal. Since the plane's cabin is pressurised greater than the atmosphere outside it, the door is effectively forced shut. If you were to turn the handles and attempt to open it, nothing would happen, since the pressure is literally jamming the door closed.

  • @whitehawk38

You wouldn't be able to open that door at that altitude, no matter how hard you tried.

  • @whitehawk38 It happend to me once

  • @whitehawk38 If a door did slightly open, the doors are made to be sucked inwards by pressurization, so it would just lock in place.

  • Leslie Nielsen was flying that plane......

  • duuude lol imagine the door suddenly opened :|

  • they cant doors on planes open inwards

  • umm no they dont open inwards..ur wrong

  • Parts of it do. BUT all in all open outwards, when its all said and done. hell if it opened that high up you would freeze to death before you hit the ground pretty much

  • These are common stuff.. The two planes were far apart... Nothing dramatic really...

  • i was on a lufthansa flight and we were about 43000 feet at some points. i new at the time we were higher then normal but i will also say that the landing on the flight was done by a computer and it was flawless so it was a strange flight all around.

  • sounds high tech...

  • Nice Video!

The plane above si a A340.

  • So, it's the story of a plane, which is flying in the sky. Wow.

  • You was fly very high! How many kilometers from to Earth? And planes had a race!

  • what happens if that guy on the door fell out cause the door opened

  • Any higher and it'll soon be going lower

  • i wonder what names of airliner , this plane is so high about 45,000 ft, and it is so awsome, i never flew 45,000 ft. Please tell me what airliner name is???? anyone know about this????????

  • qantas

  • Thank you very much, someday ji will flying an qantas airliner to australia next january or feb, i will go there , i can't wait to get out of here all the way to australia. thank thank james b.

  • how was australia

  • GREEAT VIDEO ! NExt time try to contain your excitement and keep the camera straight !!

  • If you think this is close you should be in the boom pod of a KC-135 when we refuel - that's close.

  • That is a great view. That altitude is about 45,000 feet. Awsome vid! 5/5 stars

  • That is so cool. what a coincidence to meet another plane at that height

  • cool

  • Magnificent, the 747 is forever the queen of the skies - love her!

I would love to be flying on a 747 then see a 747 like that, would be awesome. Cheers!

  • A380 is the new one!

  • That's almost dangerous~

  • yup done this all the way to and from Australia brings back memories.
