15th April 2008 - (Today) Outside the White House. Freedom Rally 2008 - Largest protest in US history. Americans are standing up and showing they no longer fear their government. Make sure you are there and bring everyone you can! Take our Freedoms back! Power to the People!
i used to think being a war protester was cool and chic...but in the post 9/11 world i see that anti war folks are just plain cowards that dont want to face reality
What part of reality are "we" missing? The fact that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 or is it the fact that we have given more reasons to become a terrorist. Reality that our President is breaking this country apart while the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Yeah, WTF are we cowards thinking?
No wolverine you are the one who doesn't want to face reality. Iraq didn't cause 9/11 so we shouldn't be there. The war in Iraq has killed more people than Sadaam ever did. Go to moveon(dot)org to hear what our soldiers have to say about the failing war in Iraq.
Life is a contradiction. Think back to 9/11 we were hurt, scared and wounded. WE wanted a war. Our government (both parties) agreed to the war, along with the majority of the US population and so did I. Collectively we went to war and it will take a collective effort to get out. My only son is a member of the US Army. Lets move quickly and peacefully to resolve the situation while forever honoring the ones who served. -- mom, Winston-Salem, NC
It's time for the Bushies to take responsibility for Bush's actions, instead of looking for others to blame. They have followed the Lemming tour guide and dragged our soldiers with them.
Thats right everyone, bring the troops home so you can scorn them some more. Don't get me wrong, I want the war over with too...but I want to win. America used to have the Armed Forces to win this quickly, but your boy Clinton took all that away, and now the remainder dies for it. Kinda makes you wish he did get thrown out.
Not a Bushie here, I call myself libertarian. I just don't think Bush is evil like the Left. He's too stupid for that. I do, however, recognize that the military was reduced by more than 2/3 under Clinton, and those extra 8 carrier groups and 300,000 troops could've been useful here. And that Clinton took them away. Read up a bit before throwing accusations around.
I was actually remarkably impressed by the SDS. the have a long history, they were first created in 1960 and just reformed last february (2006). The group from my school marched with them and we created a chapter at our school. I strongly suggest you look them up we are working on some good projects.
I was there too, came from Chicago... your footage of the bus trip brought me right back to my discomfort! But it was all well worth it to stand and be counted. Great job! I forgot my camera in the bus!
Amazing video. I was also there at that rally with a few of my friends.
:)
.Peace.

If there were more people in the streets, it would likely be over. I'm going to DC for the march 19, 2008 anniversary protest.

Interesting. Very one sided view. To each his own.
