Also, I put a screw though an ipod battery once to test how nasty they are, it didn't even spark. it smoked slightly. ipods use LiPo batteries.. they might make a lot of fire that most fire extinguishers won't put out, but they are not likely to explode.

That aside, doing this in the house with no safety equipment is just stupid. And in what looks like the same microwave they use for food...
