Well that's not really true, it depends on what substances your body is in need of at the time. It's certainly not on the same scale as elementary chlorine or sodium. Sea salt is 86% sodium chloride (table salt) anyway, it just contains other useful compounds as well. My point was that the little chemistry lesson in this video was botched, and I don't think that's a fair way to support your point to people who don't know any better. The text accompanying the Appleman Chart you are quoting is taken out of context (quote mining) - the line is preceded by one stating, "if the atmosphere were warmer than the temperature indicated by the 100% line" - this quite clearly states that contrails can never form a cloud IF the temperature is above -34 degC (approx.)

Skeletal flourosis affects millions in China and India along with many third world nations who have excessive fluoride in their water supplies. The problem of how to legally dispose of fluoride was solved in the 1930's when a study (funded by one of the country's largest aluminum companies) concluded that fluoride prevented tooth decay. I cut fluoride out of my diet years ago and haven't had a cavity or any tooth problems since.

I've only ever drank fluoridated water, and I've never had a cavity or tooth problems - anecdotes are unhelpful and entirely useless as evidence.

However, it's well documented as to how, in areas without natural fluoride, those who drink fluoridated water are much, much less likely to get tooth decay, and the biochemistry backs this up.

In much of Europe, fluoride is in water naturally, so I'm unsure what your 'it's not supposed to be there' statement refers to.

Hospitals shouldn't be flushing medication into public sewage systems - in the EU, at least, that's 100% illegal - I am unsure of the situation in the wider world.

I support water fluoridation not because "it doesn't automatically kill you", but because it's demonstrably advantageous to peoples' health.

Yes, happily - a normal 250ml glass would, when full of such water, have 175nL (yes, nanolitres) of petrol in.

Hell, I could safely drink water with 0.7ppm of the much more deadly arsenic in, or even up to 20ppm (your 0.7ppm example is made worse when you consider the UK permits 1ppm as being perfectly safe for arsenic).

You either have no knowledge of chemistry/dilution, or are deliberately and maliciously trying to mislead people. Please, let us know.

Chances are the water you drink has 0.7ppm (the figure you gave) of both gasoline and much nastier things in anyway. I'm not claiming it's good for you, I'm claiming the dosage is too small to harm you (very different things). There are numerous studies to demonstrate the benefits of a small (small being the crucial word) quantity of fluoride in water - most places in Europe have enough already, but in America they add it in areas that don't.

The highest found commonly naturally is around 15ppm, much higher than altered water sources, which is still safe perfectly safe.

I have a nagging issue - what don't you like about water fluoridation? It's done to bring the level of dental, and therefore general, health of those in low-fluoride areas up to that of others.

Fluoride hardens your teeth

What you appear to wish for is the dark ages, where no-ones teeth lasted past their teens and they were dead anyway by the time they were thirty - quite possibly from not being able to eat, or by blood poisoning from their rotting teeth

Fluoride occurs naturally in most of Europe's water, where it DOESN'T poison people - except for people living in volcanic areas of Italy, where there really IS too much of it in the water

This was very well done! It was some time ago that I worked in a dentist office... and did you know that most of the parents that came in with their children had NO IDEA that fluoride is a poison. I had to explain it to them and when they said no to the hygienist giving their kids fluoride... I'd be the one to get into trouble. The hygienist didn't care that it was poison. He was pissed that he lost money. Some people are like that... all they care about is the money. Thanks for the post!!

When I told my best friend in Ottawa that they put fluoride in the water he seem unfazed by it and he said he already knew! He says "It's to give you nice teeth" I .. WAS..Shocked! We are SO conditioned to accept shit like that it's scary. Also I now only buy distilled water with 0.0 ppm of fluoride and the guy at the water shop seemed to be on my side, and agreed that fluoride is a poison, dumbs you down. I wanna know if I have fluoride in my tap water (Gatineau, Qc)
